Hi Kyle, thanks for the vid. Another docu masterpiece. I wonder if you have updates from your former interviewees? Like the Viet man in Africa - how is he now? Also the guy who was searching for his brother - was the bro found? I hope you'll have more opportunities to make vids like this. Thanks & take care. 👍

this is my first ever video i've watched from you and i'm glad to have discovered you from my home feed! 😌 i teared up when they facetimed. specifically, when Auntie Nga kept explaining how sad she was and also when her brother asking if she'll come visit now that she has their address😭 truly thank you for what you do! you're amazing!! i recognize your hard work and applaud you greatly for it ☺👏 also, i totally understand about your worries and concerns regarding your career stability and future, especially since you are a content creator. lots of unpredictable things. definitely sounds stressful. from a new supporter of your craft, wishing you many blessings to whatever you decide to do with your future! congrats on the film project! sounds very fulfilling and a lot of effort was put into it. hope to see it soon on whatever platform it appears on and to support it to the fullest! 🤩😊

Her wailing at the graves touched my soul…I loved that no one looked uncomfortable or tried to get her to stop. In my (Black American) community, we have a long tradition of “wailer women” who helped us grieve, especially after chattel slavery, this can be traced back to Africa…but this form of grieving isn’t as acceptable in Western society, so is often mocked as us being dramatic as usual…so it warmed my heart to see not only her open grief among people she hasn’t seen in so long, but also how accepting they were of her pain and worries ❤

Actually, because of some of my earlier reunion videos, I had a chance to work with a director who was trying to find his father. His film won't be on KZfaq, but it will be perhaps at some indie film festivals next year. We filmed an awesome documentary, and he taught me a lot of things... which has helped me increase the quality of my videos.

Dammit Kyle! You always do that to me. Everytime I watch your reunion videos I just start balling of sadness, of joy, of the feeling of longing. I look at my own life and miss my parents who have passed away. I feel old, I'll never regain what is lost. I'm going back to my homeland in a couple of months (The Philippines) to live out the rest of my days. I'll miss my son dearly. I pray to the universe to be kind to him. He'll come visit and I will go visit as well but I feel the time is close to when I'll depart this earth. We will all leave behind everything we have worked for, earthly possessions are nothing. Love, kindness, understanding, hapiness and family are all that is important. Thank you always for sharing Kyle. Your documentaries always show (without saying) what is truly important.

Kyle, you’ve done it again!! I didn’t even last a full minute before I start crying. I also left my family at 15 with nothing and 12 years later, I came back for the first time with everything! That airport scene is too real!

I’m still watching since it’s almost an hour long but I’m slightly confused. She kept saying she left home because her dad drank and yelled at her. Then , the aunt took her to all places & she didn’t even know how she got to America? As a young adult, you should be more aware than that. It doesn’t sound like that’s the whole story. In all honesty, she doesn’t seem all there. I think the trauma really got the best of her and she can’t really talk about it.
