Compared to Illinois, taxes are super low. RE taxes are roughly half 4.25% of value is the norm in Illinois. Chicago's sales tax is 10.25%. The Income tax is 6.95% for corporations and 4.95% for individuals. WInters in Chicago are brutal, think -20F with 20mph winds and a foot of snow. Texas sounds like a paradise.

Bullard .......furthest away from 20....thats all I can say about that. Private Schools in Bullard. Lost Sheep. No contest. Yeah. Tornado alley.....closer in Lindale......yet we just had one in Coffee City. Had to go find my trash can. Get a power generator. you wont regret it

I was born an raised in Tyler. Caldwell Zooused to be free and Bergfield Park did an amateur music show every Friday night. I spent many, many hours at Tyler Statte Park and it was free, too. I lived in Noonday before they were known for the Noonday Onions. We grew onions, but called them 10/20's. There were no wineries or breweries. My father did make home brew!! I went to the Liberty many times, too.

I have visited Tyler a few times over the years (I live just south DFW) and the town just gave off a weird vibe. It would take some more time there to figure it out.

All towns have highs and low points. Tyler isn’t special. It's behind modern times. Yet the humidity is brutal 5 months called miserable! Ugh. BTW, look at your locale, its IN Tornado alley and gets a lot of 5” hail showers too so you're car will likely get beat up more than once there. it's an unpopular small town for a reason there.

I lived in Tyler Tx for a couple of years 1995-1997. I work at UT HEALTH CARE in the ICU Department. I have awesome memories of Tyler, my co workers/friends, trips to the zoo, (is it still free admission?) Big ol pot of slug bugs (crawdads), Waffle House, Churches Chicken and good hot tacos. I rented a 2bed/2bath house 350.00 on Vernon Ave. I would love to move back to Tyler, maybe some day. I am from California, but Texas has always held my heart. My Daddy was born and raised in Denison, TX, so it was bred into me. I enjoyed your channel about Tyler. It brought back lots of good times.

A family member is moving to Bullard … their street is worn out, major potholes and disintegrating. I feel for any POC that reside in the town and there’s only a small percentage, that have to deal with covert and overt racism. And don’t tell me that does not exist there.

Hubby was born in Tyler. Homes for 800-900k absolutely blows my mind. Must be some of those rich maggots trump made sure got all kinds of benes when he was prez. His rich just got richer, at least in Tyler.
