I have one of these and it electric hisses like a copperhead (assuming they hiss)! I'm not sure if the grounding was done properly, but I've heard about that being an issue with some of the Spector lines. Which is a shame because it plays like a dream! Hoping to upgrade to a Euro LX or RST one day. But great video Ian!

I like the dance version because of the continue drum part, but all the bass line was left! why would someone do that???

I see this one it's crafted in Indonesia instead of Korea, is it any difference? I would prefer the Korean one if i get it, it's that fact important? Thanks for serious answers

I'd always wanted a Spector Bass since watching the year and a half in the life on metallica and saw Jason playing a Spector NS-2. When I heard isolated tracks of enter sandman, and other songs off the album, along with Pantera and Alice In Chains bass lines on Spectors, the sound really stuck out to me and how it sounded because it was so different from other basses. I can now say I am a proud owner and play mine every day!

Doug Wimbish is one of my biggest idols on bass. I never tried to sound like him, his sound and playing is so original, I would just sound like a cheap rip off. But his playing is so inspiring to me, simply ignoring the limitations of a typical bass line and what type of effects you can put on bass ... and *still* support the song. But while he can create a whole 5 dish menu with it, with my limited musicality just a splash of that sauce spices my bass lines up substantially ... Thanks Doug!

Wow, first rate playing and demo! I've been a Euro LX fan but don't currently own one. Really like the new preamp but would also like to hear the 5-string models. With the upper horn length, is neck dive an issue?

Hi, I posted the question here and there but I still have to find the answer, so... is there any tone difference between the 4 (PJ) and the 5 (two soapbars) ? You know, sometimes is very hard to find the answer just listen to the videos because of a lot of variables (amp, settinng, etc...). Bets regards and thanks.

Bass is not even my main instrument, but boy those are all gorgeous! It would be tough to decide on even three of them, let alone a single one!

Been saving up for the ultra violet. Now my concern is that I don't seem to be able to pick and choose between the variations of the flame tops. I guess I'll keep at it till i find a dealer who has the flame maple top that I want.

@OfficialSpector Can you please make a mass-produced Alejandra Villareal signature bass? That blue one she is playing now is stunning, visually and tonally! Unfortunately, most of us musicians aren't in a place to drop 7k+ on a custom shop instrument... A euro version would be amazing, even if some specs were changed!
