This was filmed at the conclusion of the Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations and also the Fish Market is within walking distance of Chinatown. There are tourist buses that bring foreign tourists to the Fish Market, it’s the largest in the Southern Hemisphere!

We stayed here for the Tokyo Marathon and found it convenient to the Convention Center. There isn’t a central CBD for Tokyo, the city is quite spread out. You’ll just need to pick something that you want to stay near and choose your accommodation that way. Unfortunately there won’t be a hotel close to everything. Hope it helps! Unfortunately not yet. This is actually our first time flying Qantas to the USA and our first flight review video. We have previously flown Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia (when they were flying there). We have flown business with Qatar on an A380 though! We certainly had an A+ experience on this flight. We were lucky and got these tickets during the San Francisco re-launch sale. The flight was around $1,000 return cheaper than flying through LA. If you are flying onwards (Chicago, New York, Orlando) with Qantas then always check different route options to save money.

The policy may have changed since our stay but breakfast wasn’t included with our club level access. Our room key also didn’t work on the lounge, but one of the staff let us in and checked us off. You might have better luck 🍀 thanks for watching and liking our video! 🤝

@@takeoffandwander I was going to say that Club level access always includes breakfast but then I remembered that everything was messed up with the virus and all businesses did what they wanted and used it as an excuse. I did just email them and they advised that the club level gives a choice of having breakfast in the club lounge or the main dining room. Thank you for clarifying.

@@RiverDanube we actually received a complimentary upgrade to the Club Level, we never disclose to hotel staff about our channel at check in. We’ve never received anything from any hotels in connection with our reviews. Since we didn’t pay for the upgrade we weren’t too put out by not receiving a complimentary breakfast. 🥞

@@takeoffandwander That was a nice upgrade and explains the breakfast. I was very puzzled as we stay in club rooms when we can but they are getting out of reach these days. I can't believe how expensive it is to stay in Sydney, especially when Melbourne is much more reasonable. If the Hotels knew how well you make your video's, I'm sure they would love to give you some perks.

Hi Deb and Nick! Thanks for your question! The swimming pool facility (and gym) at the hotel is actually a part of the Fitness First that guests have access to. The pool area is quite dated and in need of some love 💕 If this is an important consideration for you, we’d suggest a different hotel such as the Intercontinental. Best wishes! 🤗

We stayed in a club room on the top floor and didn’t hear a peep. We can’t comment on the lower levels but i would be surprised if there was a noise issue from road traffic.

A great question. If you fly Business Class, you are guaranteed to get in. If you would like to buy a lounge pass, it's subject to capacity restrictions. You may be able to get in with your frequent flyer status. Check if Fiji Airways partners with your favorite airline, they partner with QANTAS and we were able to enter with QANTAS Gold status.

Piss off its crowded enough already with people who are eligible to enter withou paid entry

i mean what if you dont fly business class but you bought ticket from their airline and have a long lay-over at the airport, am i still eligible to pay on the spot to get into their lounge?

If there’s capacity, then a walk up entry is currently 135 FJD which is around 70 AUD or 50 USD. As mentioned earlier these passes are only available if the lounge is not busy.

We walked from the train station to the hotel. It’s an easy walk with luggage and quite convenient 🧳 Just make sure you pick the right exit when leaving the station. Google Maps will help you. 🚉🙂

It was filmed at approximately 5-6pm on a Friday. We deliberately look for quieter moments to film as not to disturb other patrons and the staff and to give you the viewer the best views.
