Hello my friend, my peugeot 206 sounds the same at cold start and starts to shake for the first 7 seconds and then it fix itself and runs fine . I paced new throttle body, throttle body's gasket, map, spark plugs, coil pack, fuel injectors, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, battery, alternator, temperature sensor but nothing changed. I borrowed an other ECU too but nothing.. Now the only parts that remain to change are the evap canister, the evap purge valve and the four orings on inlet manifold like you did.. what do you suggest?

I have a 2001 astro and every morning it cranks but doesn’t start only after trying for like 15 min. Usually my battery dies. Whats weird is in the afternoon it starts after like 3 cranks. I checked fuel pressure and that is ok. Also once it starts one time in the day it doesn’t do it again until next morning so i feel it has something to do with the weather .

Okay, so the undersides rust (out?). I didn't see anything structural rusting away though. On the other hand, my '03 Astro seems to have a water leak. Bought it five or six years ago and put quite a few miles on it. It's one of those editions with nice leather seats (which I gave away, as I use it mostly for camping). In this process I discovered that the rear carpeting i.e. from behind the front seats back, wicked water wherever you knelt on it. So the other day I finally ripped out the entire rear carpet. The insulating layer underneath got wetter the further back I cut out the carpet. In other words, the wet pattern was mostly narrow toward the front and mostly in the middle, but the further back I went it went from side to side. Now I'm waiting for a good rainy period to track where water first appears on the now plain metal floor. Question: Would any of this leaking business be related to the plastic parts Chris removed? Could these panels 'dam' water that runs down the side of the van and let it slowly leak to the interior? So far I'm still trying to find out what some folks find so admirable about Astro Vans.

It’s been real reliable but right up to when I rear ended someone going less than 5mph the gears doesn’t show if I’m in neutral or in park or drive nor does it show the gas fuel level.

I think the guys name is Pan the Organizer watch him . He can teach u a lot . That’s one of the guys I watched and learned from . Also there’s guys from Costa Mesa Cali that do deep cleaning & reconditioning , restoring .. unbelievable stuff . Steam clean . Dry ice and all. Good luck Ty for keeping old Benz’s on the road !😊

I'd like to know the length of time yours lasts. I used to buy and resell these Tahoes at my used car dealership. I was able to buy the new dashboards at the Chevy Dealer and have my mechanic do all the labor. It cost me about $660 six years ago. But the new OEM dashboards were as bad as the originals and only lasted a few years. Those customers came back and traded in those Tahoes to me again. I love the car; it has the world's best engine and worst dashboard (bad fit and finish). The fiberglass and the staples should make it last longer. I will do this repair from the top rather than remove the dash. Then I'll cover it with a Dashskin and carpet dash mat. I'm interested in strength rather than appearance. I hope it looks OK, and will do a video. But it won't be posted for about a year.

85% of it held together mainly because I was still driving over shit roads going over 50MPH a few times a day. Was it worth it? Maybe. It fixed most of teh cracks that survived long term and got rid fo teh plastic noises. I think adding a dash cover aswell might be a decent option

@@ImChrisDeDecker Thank you so much for replying. It appeared you spent hours or days repairing the cracks. Can I ask more questions that might be useful to your viewers and me? 1. Did the ABS slurry stick to the dashboard? Did it come loose? 2. Did the cracks get worse or did the repair work? 3. Were the staples useful or valuable? 4. Would an additional layer of ABS slurry and fiberglass help? 5. What year did you make this video? How long has it lasted? 6. What would you do differently? I want to change your directions. I'll add the staples, ABS slurry, and fiberglass over the top of the dashboard. That would drastically reduce the time, but it would look terrible. To compensate, I will then place a $135 Dashskin ™molded dash cover to hide the repairs/strengthening. Does this work?

I was a used car dealer focusing on older Chevy pickup trucks and Tahoes. I closed my dealership during COVID but kept a 2012 Tahoe. I knew the dash would eventually crack in the Arizona heat. As a dealer, I replaced many GM cracked dashboards with new ones. My wholesale cost was $350 from the dealer and about $300 for the labor. Today's prices would be north of $1,100 for the job. It took a full day of labor. The dash probably had 4 years or 36,000 miles before the cheap GM plastic would crack again. I want to follow your video instructions for my Tahoe because it should last longer than a new one. Now I'm retired, this Tahoe might be my last car. But I'm not mechanically as skilled as you are. So I don't know what I'll do. What was the name of the welder tool you used?

Liqui Moly Diesel Purge makes wonders. I use 2 bottles of it every 20k KM. I record the engine sound before and after and huge difference every time. Also the performance on low revs improves a ton.

This idea is workable, but probably will not cool the whole van. It should cool you down if you point it directly at yourself or if you make a "blanket-fort" on your bed and aim it into that small space as you sleep. (Small space is easier to cool) First, get a tube-shaped transmission radiator from Amazon, along with a small submersible pump, tubing, and a small USB fan. Radiator costs $30.00. Fan runs under $20.00. Drill a hole into the cooler large enough for the tubing to carry water out of and back into the cooler, as well as the power cord from the pump. Connect tubing to the radiator. Make a tunnel from Reflectix or cardboard large enough to surround the radiator. Cold water from cooler should pump from the cooler, to the radiator, and back into the cooler. Place the USB fan at one end of the tunnel you made so the wind flows over the radiator before coming out the other end and onto you or into your blanket fort. Instead of using ice to cool the water, I'd try those blue plastic blocks that freeze solid in a freezer. If using 5 of them at a time inside the cooler, I'd recommend getting 10 or even 15 of them so the next set of 5 is frozen in the freezer, ready to replace the ones in the cooler when they no longer cool the water. (Switch warmed ones for freshly frozen ones to keep the water in the cooler cold.) Use power stations to power a 12V freezer, the pump, and the fan. Add solar to charge the power stations if no plug and extension cord are available. So, that's how I think it should be done. Good luck.

The reason the leather is in such good condition is because it's not actual leather, but rather MBtex. It's a type of vinyl developed by Mercedes and extremely resistant to wear. Very popular in German W124 Taxis.

I have a 2003 DODGE CARAVAN SE V6 3.3L The minivan is giving me a P0300 code. I turned on the engine and left it idling. Connected a test light to a ground and connected a vacuum gauge to a vacuum port on the upper intake manifold. I did a cylinder drop test using the test light while removing one wire at a time from the coil pack and observing the vacuum gauge needle for movement. As i was removing one wire at a time from the coil pack using the test light the vacuum gauge needle was not moving so i can know which exact cylinder is misfiring. Do you happen to know why the vacuum gauge needle was not moving? I uploaded videos on my channel so you can see the tests i did can you check them out, please?
