I've converted all of my conus cases to AO4 because you can't govern the attachment strength. I have sweet little old ladies that were having to use the tapper to remove it or some that just couldn't, no matter how hard they tried. Great info on the bar design.

what type of mesh are you importing the desktop scan of optisplint as, into exocad so that you can merge and replace the IO scanned optisplint? When I import it as another scan marker scan it only wants to replace not let me align and then delete.
@masterdentaltechnician1914
@masterdentaltechnician1914 8 күн бұрын
Great question. You have to import as a generic mesh. Then align, then export as new marker. Now you can bring in as new scan marker scan in the same position.

@@masterdentaltechnician1914 How do you combat Miyo " running" color? I know the company said it is all about consistency, but it is easier said than done! What is the black pegs you use to hold your full arch? Thanks!
@masterdentaltechnician1914
@masterdentaltechnician1914 16 күн бұрын
1) just use a very light coat of glaze paste. Almost nothing. You can experiment with no glaze at all at first. Especially when you add multiple Miyo layers at the incisal and have too much glaze paste it's get's runny. The pegs are firing pegs but those are not ideal so I do not recommend them. That's what I had laying around 👍🤣😊

That process looks long to paint pink fibrous with a little brush like that. Bite also looks 1 mm open.Also gap between ridge and denture it doesn’t look like it’s completely seated.
@masterdentaltechnician1914
@masterdentaltechnician1914 16 күн бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. The process of applying the pink is actually quite fast, and I apologize if that wasn't clear in the video. You can complete a full arch in 3-5 minutes. This case was particularly challenging, and when I checked the bite with occlusion paper, it showed even, solid contacts throughout the arch. I apologize if this case raises aesthetic concerns, as it was intended to demonstrate the workflow.

The upper plate adjusts the lower arch. That means the lower side of the upper plate is cutting the lower appliance. The lower plate cuts the upper appliance. Therefore the logo should not interfere with any plates. Let me know if you have any other questions.

photogametry or manual , the key to any good case is the oclusal plane and the inferior teeth are the ones who mark the plane, brom the border of the lip to half the philiform that is the key to any good VD and vDO , and here the inferior oclusal plane is completely out of proportion. anybody can place 10 implants even general dentist but who here, knows how to creat a fully functional oclusion and the answer is very little , i see alot of likes in all all on x and all on 4 treatments on youtube and all of the cases have shitty oclssion, the worst oclusion i ever seen, now every dentist is creating guides to recess bone because they can not handle oclusion , or basics of height size shape of teeth , even VDO they are clueless.

@mistycmcana953 Thank you for your detailed feedback. I appreciate your insights into the importance of the occlusal plane and proper vertical dimension in creating fully functional restorations. Achieving ideal occlusion is indeed crucial and can be challenging. I acknowledge that there are areas for improvement and am committed to continuously refining my techniques. I also recognize the value of photogrammetry and other advanced methods to enhance accuracy. If you have specific advice or resources that could help me and the viewers improve, I would be grateful if you could share them. @@masterdentaltechnician1914 please read prostodontic book of osawa deguchi and peter dawson, in regards to photogametry those are 2 different things have nothing to do with each other .you are trying to get a perfect fit of your restorations by having a perfect impresion a digital impresion , tha has nothing to do with vertical dimention , you have to have achieved all of those things almost from the diagnosis , even before the surgery you already have to have phonetics VDO VD, a propper mounted model , photogametri is only the final phase to achieve a propper imprsion to have almost 0 discrepancy from mouth , i can achieve this even with out photogametry byhaving a correct scan with primescan camera from dentsply , in new research difference from photogametry is almost insignificant if you use trios 5 or primescan cameras. either way in this particular case, there is a discrepancy in the VDO , also you can also use facehunter or axioprisa facebow to create accurate digital models and have afacescan of the patient along side articulated models , and a propper maxilary relation with the condiles on a semiadjustable articulator such as sam3or ps1 from zirkonzahn.

This was a great video but more about countouring in the green state and MiYo than a true start to finish. The CAM process would have been nice to see (many people overlook / underestimate this crucial step) and I think you could get a much more detailed part off the machine and save yourself time / accuracy with better nesting / CAM options. Doesn't this defeat the purpose / benefit of CAD/CAM to be doing so much re-work by hand? Your design looked like you spent the same time / attention to detail on the CAD side just to let the machine wipe it out. By the way - amazing work on the finished product - I am a fan of what you're able to achieve
