Matt - a question ... Any plans to release a lightweight tripod for spotting scope or do you think the market is well covered with these?
@MTNGear

Yes, we are well down the track of this process. Not saying there aren't decent options out there already. Just not necessarily what I want out of a tripod so will be a different take.

Is there anyway to get the head of the stick to be an arca mount instead of picatinny?
@MTNGear
@MTNGear 5 ай бұрын
Not at this point but we will likely provide an option at some point in the future. Very unlikely it's an arca head but more likely an adaptor that is as ergonomic as possible to have on there and in the hand.

i know you dont skimp on the materials for the products you engineer bro. I wish I had one of yours. I do like tie back country carbon bipod i have but would go with one of yours hands down if it was an option at the time. Good stuff Matt

Hey mate, is the stick your holding in this video the Long or Regular version? Cheers
@MTNGear
@MTNGear 7 ай бұрын
Hi David. Its a regular. I'm 5 7 so pretty short so wouldn't consider a long. All though do know some shorter than me who use a long as it gives more adjustment for shooting off.

Is there a tension lever for the pan and tilt?
@MTNGear
@MTNGear 7 ай бұрын
Hi James, pan and tilt tension can be adjusted. The bipods are designed so you can set these without needing to have locking leavers that add bulk and weight. Now and then you might want to adjust the tension as parts do wear in a bit from new but its rarely needed.

Mate great change to the connection system, bloody love my 4.0 stick, even more now as it stopped me going over a bluff on my last trip south. Just a thought mate I use my stick a lot to glass off, have you though of developing a bino attachment using the pic rail slot?
@MTNGear
@MTNGear Жыл бұрын
Cheers Chris. I have made one up but honestly found it better just placing the binos straight on top as it doesn't restrict the rang of movement like a bino mast does.

Hey Matt - When will the 4.1 be available on the US website to purchase?
@MTNGear
@MTNGear Жыл бұрын
Hi Joseph. Estimate is about 2 weeks. We are pretty well into production with the only thing we are waiting on is the boxes for the blades. So basically once they turn up the next day we will have them on their way to the USA in bulk and its generally ready to be shipped out a week after that. Once they have been shipped at this end we will list them online for purchase. If you follow us on socials or the mailing list we will make it known there when they can be ordered.

Hi Ken, We manufacture a range of rails and this one is the rail with sling attachment. Distance between hole centers is 40mm/1.6inch which is industry standard for rails of this size.

Hi Aion, No we don't have an MLok option. Unless there is an option you think is specifically missing on the market It seams like theres plenty of existing option out there currently? Still a work in progress. Hasn't gotten as much attention as it should have due to just trying to keep up with Bipods currently.

Been there done that, vice or vice grips on it etc to rotate out of that slot. Worth putting some protection in the teeth so you don't mark the slider. Cut up a butter lid or something and use that think hard plastic etc

@piche090391 3 жыл бұрын
I'd carry both, not sure I'd use trekking poles for alpine hikes tho
@MTNGear
@MTNGear 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Felix. It very much depends on the terrain. Long distances on easier terrain trekking poles still win, but on steeper and rougher terrain we feel these are hands down better options and personally will not take trekking poles at all. MTN Sticks are much more durable and means you always have it as a safety tool in your hand at all times. This can be for anything from steep country or even just bear country.
