Follow Matt on a multi night hunt looking for old velvety stags. Lots of deer, goats and pigs seen. South Island of New Zealand.
First hunt with the Hornady SST 165grain 308 projectiles which performed great dropping two animals on the spot.

Cheers for your comment and watching. Always hard to tell but I'm guessing around 65kms. Phone step counter says 28.98km the day the animal was taken.

Top effort! You deserved to take an animal after a big walk like that... you gave respect to the meat and the head will strip and serve as a lasting reminder of a hard weekend spent in the hills. I have heads like that that were shot 20 years ago, but I can still remember the hunts like they were yesterday!
