There's no spring mechanism to my knowledge, just a slide lock. I've been using the one featured in this video as my EDC since I published it and I literally use it every single day of my life. It never lets me down. It's one of those purchases that I'll never regret.

I have this inflater and love it, except it no longer works off the v20 battery..l was using it in below freezing temps with the v20 battery to,inflate my snowmobile trailer tires and heard a “pop”, now it only works on AC or autoplug 12v. I love it so much though that I am almost thinking of getting another just because the v20 battery is so convenient.

Bummer! I still use the same one featured in this video for my own lawn care every few weeks. I haven't had any issues with it. Same big V60 battery, same mower. It's a shame it's no longer available. They only have a few V60 products available, but no mowers. Only gas and corded electric. They must've had some problems with them? I dunno. I hope they bring them back again.

Do you know why they discontinued this and went with buttons!l? I can’t find this anywhere in 2024…. Did the gyroscope experience not live up to its expectations? Do you prefer the newer one with buttons? Do you think it has better control?

I didn't know they discontinued it... nor why they would have. I still use mine on a weekly basis and love it. It's one of my favorite Craftsman tools ever. I would hate a button version. Maybe a cost thing?

This IS a pretty good video however, Katzkin will tell you if you ask them that your set is not warrantied unless you have it installed by an authorized Katkzin dealer........call them and check it out yourself before you delve into your DIY install.

Will this keep the sliding door from being jimmied/lifted? Tired of leaning down to remove the dowel from the track.

Great question! I've honestly never tried. So, off I went to the door to test it out. I was able to lift up the handle side no problem to create a bit of a gap at the top. However, on the lock side I was unable to lift it up at all--not even a little bit. So, I suppose it depends on the door but in my case I don't see how it's possible.

Great review. BUT,,,How Long did it take? I've seen reviews for other portables where it takes 10 minutes from 22 PSI to 35PSI. That's 40 minutes just for 4 tires. Great in an emergency on the road but, it sure doesn't keep up with a standard pancake air compressor for at home maintenance.

Mini cutter broke on a small paper clip. Their total junk trust me. I had the set from Lowes. I threw them all in the trash dumpster.Not even close to what the older black handle craftsman plyers. Dark color steel.@@chris

I would personally use a larger pair of diagonal cutters for something as thick as a paper clip. These are definitely lighter duty tools meant more for thin wire cutting, IMHO. 📎
