Nice designs and colors. Do you soak leaves in something or fabric before print and steam? We have Eucalyptus leaves here also.

Soda ash (washing soda, sodium carbonate ) is good for washing cottons. It is very alkaline so dont leave on skin and can be hard on silk fabrics. Baking soda is less alkaline. Like your videos on ecoprinting. Nice designs your showing to place leaves. Do you have another video showing a mordant such as alum or if use vinegar ? Thank you

I agree. 'Eco-printing' really should be called 'Nature printing' . It is printing with natural materials but the process itself is not always very 'eco' friendly. A lot of 'eco-printing' tutorials encourage you to drive around collecting flowers, bundle them up with plastic and then heat them for a long time (often with methane gas). Instead, I'd encourage anyone to collect (or grow) what is in your local area, bundle with other plain fabric or waxed paper as a barrier, and try to use electricity to heat. You can also try solar dyeing / printing, which is a much less precise process but can yield interesting results. Good luck :)

I don't like this. The camera is too close and the whole cutting away from them just looks weird and choppy.
