Thanks for your story. I went to colombia on holiday. Only thing that happened was this taxi driver overcharging me. But l could feel the tension from the locals. Wich made me feel tension and keep my guard up. And it definitely effected my holiday in negative way. I still had fun and met interesting people. But would l go back . No negative vibe. I love to travel , and have a lot experience. And l learned to trust my instincts.

There is a very complex relationship between visitors and locals on these islands I agree. I have found as someone that has lived on the islands that it rarely is a negative experience and while a minority truly don’t want you to visit the islands, you typically won’t run into them on your holiday.

I got mad at my wife spending $700 per person on a helicopter in Hawaii. Until after we did it. It was the best experience of my life hands down. Even if this amount is far out of your budget or won’t allow you to do other things, I suggest doing it. The feeling of being above nature and experiencing it. It was a completely open one. No doors for the pilot as well. Our pilot asked if we wanted him to get closer to a waterfall and we hovered pretty close to the side of an opening to see a hidden waterfall. Also flew through one of the valleys they had on Jurasic park. Got hit with a giant cross wind and our pilot handled it incredible well. In just seconds a storm rolled in and it started raining with high winds. I can’t fly a helicopter and that is the only time I’ve ever been on one, but I skated and understand balancing, and that helicopter could not of been easy to handle since the gusts came out of no wear and were so fast. I was super impressed with how the pilot handled the situation and the skills he showed while doing it. They even had to cancel all the fights after us due to the weather condition. Thankfully it was at the end of our about 1 hour tour, so we didn’t miss anything. Once we got around the island towards to dole plantation and pearl harbor the rain was still bad but we weren’t getting hit by cross winds like crazy. I’m someone who is afraid to ride in cars with people. I did a job of driving new cars through trains for couple years as well so I consider myself a very good driver. At no point did I fear for my life because the pilot was so skilled. It was at rainbow something.

19:27 "ciò che va su, deve tornare giù" 😂 btw as a cyclist you know better than me that the two our worst enemies are wind and uphills; with uphills you know you'll have your reward after 😎 btw your bikes definitely needed a higher gear span, "normal" gravel ratios are not enough. I am so ashamed to see that Tuscany Trail website is so mediocre on foreign-friendly pages 😱 gonna do something to fix this, I just love foreign people participating to Italians events
@OnTodaysAdventure

yess agreed! uphills were brutal, but nothing beats the views from the top! our gravel bikes were definitely missing some gears, not ideal bikes but just happy we were able to rent something relatively last minute! we also hope to see more foreigners take on events like these, it was truly so special :)

I dived the Barbie Line and the Bat Cave in January 2023. It was the dive of a lifetime. There is an interesting rock with a snail like fossil in it on the Barbie Line. Hi you two. Sorry for this incident. I can't believe how brave you are to get into the cop's car, following the bus...no one in Ecuador does that. As you know Ecuador is going through a rough time with theft and other crimes. Going hiking may not be a good idea. One other item, Amazon delivers to Ecuador much faster than their U.S. deliveries. You can give your hotel address for delivery Best wishes on the rest of your trip.

Hi! Thank you so much, it was tough but glad we were able to show the full journey! :) We went beginning of November so start of raining season which was ok but would’ve preferred to avoid rainy season! The cocoa leaves helped, but I think it was just too much altitude and blake is more susceptible to it i think… we should’ve stayed in cusco one more night & brought altitude pills in case! Sandals or some type of slides that you can put on after long days of hiking yes! also helped a lot at the hot springs! hope that helps! thanks for watching 🥰

@OnTodaysAdventure
@OnTodaysAdventure Ай бұрын
The short answer is no you don’t need it, but I would highly recommend getting your Open Water Cert! If not, you will have to enquire the dive shops about doing ‘Discovery Dives’ which will include them teaching you the ins and outs of diving without getting certified. Blake is a PADI Divemaster and Eli is PADI Advanced Open Water certified. I would recommend if you’re at all interested in diving get your cert now! It will make your dives while traveling much more enjoyable than just the Discovery Dive experience. Have fun!!

I am sorry that this happens to you guys I am not from Ecuador, originally from Perú but I lived in ecuador ( cuenca Ecuador). We left Ecuador from different reasons but one of them was safety plus we have kids and we didn't feel safe to take trip inside Ecuador the way how it is now sadly. Ecuador is beutiful country. Other thing is really not a point to put a police report because the police don't do nothing to be honest plus on those rural areas they will make more money on selling the camera then their salary, sadly is the true, as southamerican we know this, you complain amd never get anything solve. Please when you go around southamerica be carefull traveling in rural or isolated cities or town because of safety reasons. Wish you guys best of luck.

Think about this.. if I see a person in for example, a store and they are grieving over the loss of a loved one , I feel the pain they feel and even tho I can control it on the outside well , I think you get it.
