​@@GarlindaPriceGarlinda may I pass on to you my late mother's and grandmother's meat loaf recipe?They both used regular ground meat and sausage ground meat.They added one egg and sometimes two eggs.They used red,green,orange,yellow bell pepper.They used hunts meat pasta sauce with the mixture of the other flavors from hunts.The four cheese flavor, traditional, garlic and herb,roasted garlic and herb,garlic and mushroom,tomato basil,etc.They crushed up two packages of saltine crackers.Now if they added seasoning salt they used unsalted crackers because if they added salted crackers and the meat had seasoning salt it would make it to salty.They would mix one can of sauce with it or they would add a can of sauce and pour over it after it was done.Oh and Garlinda if you take a log of regular ground meat,please get a small log of sausage ground meat by Jimmy Dean ground pork sausage or Owens ground pork sausage.Or whatever ground sausage of your choice.I use the regular flavor only.Garlinda you may wind up making two meat loafs.It is so much meat after I mix everything up it makes two meatloafs.I also add chopped/diced celery and white/yellow onion with sage.Garlinda I use that (Picsweet diced,chopped bell pepper with onion,bell peppers, celery and sage)from the frozen section.I preheat my oven to 325 and I put the meatloaf in after the oven is finished preheating.I cook both meatloaves about an hour and 45 minutes.I cover the bottom of both pans and I cover the meatloaves as well with foil paper. My mother and grandmother use to chop up and dice all that onion,bell peppers,celery,and put sage in it,but I have gotten tired of all that chopping up and dicing lol.I take a shortcut on that lol.Garlinda after you have packed the meatloaf together really well take your finger and press the onions in and cover it with the meat.If you don't while the meatloaf is cooking the onions will burn.You may not be able to push all of the onions in,but if you get the jist of them it will make all of the difference.For my sides I make green beans, corn,black eyed peas,mixed greens with cabbage in it or some mixed vegetables and two pans of cornbread.
