Hello, just found you video, I have a 2003 chevy venture van no crank no start , replaced the ignition switch cylinder, the stater is good all the relays are good all the fuse are good, the neutral switch is good , on the starter relay I get voltage on pin 85 with the key on that is the positive signal. pin 86 suppose to the negative signal coming from the PCM, the PCM is not sending the negative signal to activate the relay. I apply a negative signal with a power pro and the motor turns but not start. The PCM gets battery voltage and I check one of the map sensor and I get a 5 volts reference, I believe the PVM is ok but I can figure out why is not sending the negative voltage to the starter relay, Also I try to connect the scan tool and is not communicating with the PCM, Do you have any clues. Thank you for your time

In the final clip did you lead that wire from the 15A to the back of fuse panel or spliced it with signal wire? Don’t want to fry my relay
@Rayspeed1
@Rayspeed1 6 ай бұрын
Not from the 15Amp fuse under the hood. I only did that for testing purposes you don’t want to use that one because you’ll fry your relay. I grab the power from a fuse by the driver door. The fuse was for the bcm it only supplies power when the keys is on, from there I ran the wire to the relay.

Good info. Hopefully this post is still monitored, as I have a question. I have a 2004 Impala that has this issue, but only intermittently. Was yours an intermittent issue or was it dead in the water? Mine did it about 6 months ago and started without further work on the issue after about a half hour. It did it for the second time just yesterday. Again, started after 15 minutes or so. Then, this morning, it did it again. It does have the same symptoms as yours-no crank. I crossed it over at the solenoid, and it cranked but didn't start. I was told that was due to the security, and if I'd had someone holding the key in the crank position at the time I was jumping the solenoid over, that it would have started. At any rate, what are the chances of this being the same "fix" for mine? Any input greatly appreciated.

Ok, so I watched again. If I'm understanding right, you didn't leave the short white wire in the fuse box under the hood, from the 15A fuse to the pin 98 on the relay. Is that correct? You ended up taking that back off and ran a wire from the 10A BCM fuse in the interior fuse panel out to the pin 98 on the relay? From the side of the fuse that was powered up when the key was in the on position (not the crank position), and no power when the key was off? Or did you leave the short white wire from the 15A to the pin 98, as well? If so, was it powered regardless of key position? Again, thanks so much. Very informative.

Mitchel estimator time for oil pan removal on 2007 3.7 L 4×4 includes removal of the upper intake manifold. The 2 through bolts for the 2engine mounts must be removed , and engine lowered to sit on frame, to get intake manifold out, then the engine can be pulled up high enough to have oil pan clear the front differential using proper cross brace engine support from above, Unfortunately I already did the intake manifold gasket ,and thought the crossmember at back was removable, but found it was part of the entire suspension cradle. And snapped off a rusted control arm bolt thinking I could simply lower the rear crossmember like the transmission support member😡

Thanks so much bro for your generosity and support. I have a 2003 Dodge Caravan SE and its a 3.3 engine. This week I was pumping gas. When I finish pumping gas and start the car to leave from the gas pump, well it drove but, like in 5 seconds it shut off and than the oil indicator light lid up. Perhaps it was indicating the car had just shut off. Not sure! So I restart the car to proceed driving. It turned on. But as I was driving to go next door to a parking spot it started hauling back and forth motion. So i parked the car and left cooling down for approx 40 minutes. I thought it was an oil problem as the indicator light had went on. Than within those 40 minutes I checked the oil levels and, it was just fine. I restart the car again and left hood open and went to check engine to see if i could detect a problem. I didn't see anything but I heard a soft rattling noise as engine was running. So I decided to take off driving with caution and at a slow pace to get to my destination. The car was driving normal but I felt 2-3 times the car seem to struggle breathing while driving. Thankfully it made to my destination about 2-1/2 miles away. I haven't drove car since. @@Rayspeed1

@@AF1MIDS I’m glad you came to me because I have ran into the same issue with a Chrysler before! Being that you fuel it up then it started giving you issues im going to say that you have a problem with your check valve. Most Chrysler that year have it built inside the tank you have to check for that year . To confirm that this is your issue you just have to not fill up your gas tank and see if there is any change. Now if you’re hearing weird engine noises you might have something else going on. I would definitely start by scanning the car. Any cods that you get could be used as a clue to see what’s wrong. I have also have issue like that on with Chrysler vehicles and it has ended up being a bad PCM. All you have to do is turn on the car and hit your PCM with your hands. If the car turns off then your PCM is shorted. For some reason order Chryslers vehicles have issues with PCMS.
@AF1MIDS
@AF1MIDS 9 ай бұрын
Thanks for reaching back and sorry for my late response. Its interesting you had that same problem with your car before. In that case, I will find out if my car has a built-in check valve and go about it. Therefore I will need to use up all my gas as well to confirm if there's a change on how engine operates and check to see if there's a malfunction there. I'm not so sure if it could be the PCM because I had replaced not so long. Maybe 1-1/2 year ago but you never know what could happen. I will also perform that test of turning on the car and hitting the PCM to see if there's any reaction there. I did a scanning on the car and codes P1684 and P0420 showed up. Today I took the car for a drive locally within the community and I was very cautious with the car and driving at 40-45 miles per hour. It drove nicely and I didn't noticed nor felt any odd behavior but I'll look into doing those tests you recommended and finding out about the location of the check valve. It might take me some time to check and verify but I'll get back to you as soon as I can after doing so. thank you so much my friend for your care and concern and very helpful suggestions. @@Rayspeed1
