the crossing at kensington station really confuses me because one light is and LED and the other one is an incandesent on a either McK&H.aust or westinghouse crossarm

It may have had the traditional circular lamps but got retrofitted with a Western Australia-style housing.

Maybe, it’s hard to tell because I don’t have a photo of the crossing prior to these lights, my best guess would be they put them on when upgrading the lights from Incandescent to LED

It basically exists but they removed the road and replaced it with a bridge without removing the crossing. This way they won’t have to waste more money.
