Thank you Jonathan. Lovely to hear on a Sunday morning. I sang Faure’s Requiem for the first time earlier this year. Brought back lovely memories 😊🎶

It's been two weeks now since we ran into your rehearsal in Billerbeck, but my two year old still demands that we go into every church on the way, to check for the man and his music 😂 Was a pleasure to hear you play and i can't wait to hear your Dvořák arrangement again in full length!

Ahh the grand Hornpipe and Air from Water Music the most esteemed Dr. George Friedrich Handel. Jonathon plays this grand piece in the key of D major however another common transcription of this piece is in the key of G major.

A grand piece of English classical music on a grand English organ. The Royal Albert Hall organ is one of the greatest examples of English baroque organ building. An organ suited for such grand music.

How common is it to have five manuals all horizontal - I am thinking that most top manuals are sloped forward to make them easier to reach?

Huge range of registrations - which makes sense, and makes one realise how rare it is to hear such variation.

I remember hearing a vocal arrangement of this while at a concert in croatia. It was stunning, but the organ has perfectly captured the piece’s beauty in a new way

If you haven't listened to the rest of the Faure Requiem do so very soon. My favourite. Not only that but loved singing Pie Jesu as a treble back in the mid 1970's! Thanks Jonathan, a lovely performance.
