Beautiful and honest and true. Thank you and I’m proud of this creation. Happy to have stumbled upon it while I ironically wait for my laptop to restart after dying on me last night. Nature truly is our savior- and since we are Nature, the solution is to come home to ourselves every time. 🤎

Thank you for teaching the zoning method to metering. Green grass also reflects about the same light as middle grey.

I have had my Mamiya 7ii for a few years now. I have the 150mm, 80mm and the 50mm. I would not trade it for anything in the world. It is too good. I also have an Leica M7 with a 50mm Lux. That is my daily camera. But if I know I am going to be doing something epic... I am carrying the Mamiya instead.

I think it clicked for me in the last image. So are you taking the darkest part of the image and the lightest part of the image then shooting at what ever stop would be in the middle of the two readings?

I’m glad I came across this video but now I’m also scared out of my mind 😂 Bought a oldie(Kodak Retina reflex iii) at a flea market a couple weeks ago and I thought it was a simple place the film in and take it out once you take enough photos. I really want to see the photos I’ve taken on it but now I’m scared because I underestimated the learning curve and preparations. I probably messed up big time. Probably.

@Codacolor what's the song you used in the outro? Searched everywhere for it but all I found was "33rd" by Ruslan which didn't have that beat switch even in the instrumental version.

If you're a photo journalist then by all means, don't edit your photos because they're supposed to show the scene exactly as it is. Otherwise it's up to the individual artist to edit their images the way they like them. Exactly as you said, there probably isn't a photo publicly displayed somewhere that hasn't had some type of editing done to it. Even the purists that have to get everything right in camera and don't do any post processing editing display a processed image if they shot it in jpeg. Whether they want to admit it or not, their camera edited the photo to add sharpening, contrast, noise reduction, etc. So even their "right out of the camera" shot has been edited. Anymore I've gotten to the point where I don't care if someone says my image was edited. In fact I tell them yes it was because that's the way I saw the image and how I wanted it to look. I'm not a photo journalist, I'm a digital artist that happens to use a camera as a tool.

It's because people don't are too lazy to take up real photography and buy a 35 mm camera , I live in Canada and I bought a Nikon F4 in excellent working condition for $217.00 .. when I came out in 88 , the Nikon F 4 , was going for $4500 lol

After having owned an RZ67 Pro II and a bunch of lenses (50mm ULD, 110mm, 127mm, 140mm macro (plus tubes), 180mm), 3 backs, AE prism, and so on, my back is going to thank me this Saturday when I go to pick up champagne/gold Mamiya 7II from interstate. :) Can I ask what those little tags are you have hanging off the strap lugs? Cheers!

The mu takes a lot better pictures than the disposable, but it doesn't seem to have the magic that disposable has. I don't know what it is, but i think it isn't really the resolution, seems to be more of the lense flare, the colors, and the contrast. Maybe a different film with higher iso would fix that though. Also, on some shots the mu had even more of that magic than the disposable. I don't get it.

The biggest mistake i made when i started was to try to shoot film as if it were digital. You have to unlearn everything you learned in 4k, autofocus, auto-adjust, phone, etc photography, and that's great because you're entering a world where nothing is a true mistake, it all has a meaning; you simply might need to figure out what it was.
