My gen 3 team looked very different, apart from Manectric and Gardevoir. My last 4 were Blaziken, Kadabra, Azumarill, and Rosalia (admittedly, this last choice was horrible). I only thought offensively as a kid, so Steel types felt useless to me, and I never cared for Flygon or Breloom because I knew nothing about stats either

The only reason I’ll argue Light Ball Pikachu isn’t better than Raichu is because Raichu is faster and less frail. Pikachu will not live a hit well. And base 90 speed, while pretty decent for a stage 2 Pokémon, is not spectacular when you realize Pikachu doesn’t even outspeed Charizard with the Light Ball. The problem with Light Ball Pikachu is that it excels at attacking but is too frail to live a hit and it doesn’t outspeed fully evolved Pokémon. It could be very good for a casual playthrough or Nuzlocke, but provided you aren’t overleveling it will fall off. Oh and the Pikachu in Let’s Go has higher base stats. It’s part of why it feels stronger besides its new moves.

Rhyperior is a superior pokemon despite it's design it's ability solid rock is an op ability it cuts super effective moves in half making it hard to defeat I was battling one with my milotic and was wasted after only doing a third of it's health with hydro pump so yeah he is a beast

The Thunder Armour thing is nothing more than a deus ex machina, which is generally a silly way to end a story and shows that the writers really had no idea what they were doing when they did the episode. The Pokemon anime does weird things sometimes.
