The long ride up with the vort and the ominous glow on his face in the moments of darkness as he talks his lore to me, was pretty awesome. It felt like a moment of betrayal was about to happen, but it didn't. Felt like a knifes edge moment where you realise the vorts and the humans may... could... just be an alliance, not necessarily friends... Hah.

Confession time: I’ve been playing video games since the Gameboy era and I’ve never played a Half-Life game. I’ve played both Portals, I’ve played both Left 4 Deads, and I am of course familiar with Half-Life’s legendary status, but I’ve just never gotten around to it. But this track is so killer, I can no longer go on in such a condition. I haven’t even finished the video yet and I’ve decided I must play both Half-Lives. If you’re reading this, you’ve caught me at the beginning of my journey. It’s unfortunate that I’ve missed it being free on Steam, but such is life. Looking forward to finally seeing what the legends are all about!

Gordon Beginning of this theme: *He loads shotgun and moves his glasses* After beginning and middle: *He rides the buggy/car and one-hand with AR2/SMG1/.357/RPG combines and zombies non-stop* End of this theme: *Strider/Helicopter blows up car and it explodes. But he stands up and rolls to lying RPG/AR2 on the ground, and fires rocket/alt back - strider/helicopter explodes* Freeman. And he's just a physicist-theoretic. Who f**ked up Nihilanth, freed vorts, ,inspired people for Resistance, destroyed the dark energy teleporter, helped citizens to escape from the city. And now he's Free. To Man things that no one can.

Shit, I was playing the level with this music when suddenly police called me if I was involved in a car crash. During my gaming session my car was stolen and turned over in a ditch (luckily nobody hurt). I remember go and look from the window with this music still playing.

I've cross linked this to a track called "Unpartable 1" by Viper which is nothing more than a blatant plagiarism act with having someone speak over it and pass off like it's their work and slap their copyright on it.

Thank you so much! I'm actually surprised to hear you were doing this for your DND campaign. I used this not too long ago for some atmospheric buildup in a DND campaign I'm hosting too! Really sets in the mood for one hell of an intense battle sequence :]

On my end it was the party setting up defenses for an incoming swarm of huge monstrosities (that happen to be HL2 striders). They had 4 days before they arrived, and I like to believe the music boosted their creativity because jfc the swarm got played hard by the traps, fortifications and positionings they had set up until they had evacuated all the injured soldiers and proceeded to escape narrowly the strider onslaught.
