There is no comparison between Jim and Van Morrison if for no other reason then Jim's life ended in the 70's while Van did his best work in the 80's, 90's and 2000's. Moreover Van wrote more great songs then the Beatles, but is not known as much in America as the Beatles. To know Van, you have to buy his albums. He will go down in history right up there with Mozart and Beethoven and Bach. Good rock n rollers from Ireland are fully aware of how great VAN MORRISON was and still is, he just turned 70 a week ago.
