Its an old school rpg, I wouldn't expect modern day gamers to understand it. I never had any problems and the game gives you plenty of options to overcome any difficulties.

And the fun thing about all this is that it doesn’t matter, in the end you can just dupe 4 chameleon sigil stones and enchant your favorite armour with it lol, I love oblivion so much

There is one other solution. Grind your levels efficiently, and then play the whole game. My major skills are hand to hand, alchemy, alteration, acrobatics, mysticism, illusion and speechcraft. The first 3 stat points i usually go for is strength, speed and endurance. However, the one stat that everyone should upgrade to 100 first is endurance, because it raises the amount of health you gain per level. So, the earlier you get it to 100, the better. As for the other stats, you can do them in any order you like. In my case with strength, speed and endurance, increase my blade skill by 10 points, then heavy armour by 10 points, then acrobatics last by 10 points for a level up and increase to speed stat. So thats 3 attributes increased by 5 points from the bonuses of leveling up those minor skills. I like to switch to another skill once the others start to take a while to level up. For example, when my blade skill reaches 75, i start raising my blunt skill for strength bonuses, because it levels faster because its only at 15 or something like that. Once ive done this for all my attributes, i make sure to stop leveling up at level 26. By then, all the creatures in the game spawn in (liches only start spawning after you hit levek 26, all other creatures spawn at lower levels). All the quests are available to me, and my character is quite powerful. So the start of the game for me is just a whole bunch of grinding, but then i can go ahead and enjoy all the quests in the game without worrying about leveling up.

It sounds like something that would work alright for Borderlands "Badass Ranks" or "Weapon Proficiency" systems. Something that wouldn't affect your regular leveling up, but would give you buffs to your more basic abilities over time.

The sub not moving isn't a "unique solution to a problem". It's just that there is NO REASON to WASTE TIME implementing a moving sub when there is no point because of the game's restrictions. There isn't a problem with moving an object through a game world.... It just saves time to not implement it when you don't have to.

I was young when I played it, so I remember just picking the stats with the biggest +# as to not "waste" anything. I only ever leveled up skills "on purpose" in order to cast custom created spells that had skill requirements. Same with lock picking~

David Szymanski is truly a horror genre defining artist, If this guy is given unlimited time and resources for his brain to just run wild and bring his ideas to fruition he has the opportunity to be the greatest, he’s already showed us here he can put out a horror game that’s leagues above what this guy and anyone else would dream of creating.

Two things. First, I'm surprised you didn't mention chain spells. Have fortify magicka and fortify intelligence for 2 seconds by an amount exceeding the final cost of the spell, then whatever other effects you want. Then as long as you repeatedly cast the spells, you'll keep increasing your magicka by more than the cost and can endlessly cast. As a result you could make a super heal self and fire on touch spell and just become unstoppable as you heal for tons of health and endlessly dish out damage. Two, you can get some really hilarious bugs to occur. If you ever conjured bound daedric gear you could see that despite looking like daedra armor, most of ut was classified as light armor and it all weighed a lot less than the normal kind. Well, utilizing a bunch of powerful or chain "self" targeting spells, you could damage the condition of the armor and weapons until they hit 0 condition, break, and fall off you. Then you can pick them up, wait for the conjure spell to end, repair them, and equip them. Voila, bound gear that has higher stats than light armor for those slots, and it is way lighter. They had awful sell prices though.

Think the last thing to do is to try and turn the "Monster" Into an entity. Though I am sure that would take a bit of work... maybe mix a few creatures into it... Like angler fish, whale and maybe a bit more monstrous. too maybe add in tentacles since that is a thing now for sea monsters. and yes this is an old video not sure if you are still doing Iron lung stuff

The thing is, you will become under-powered regardless of what you do at high-levels, +5 or not, due to the fact that weapon damage sucks and damage bonus from stats and skills cap off when they hit 100, doesn't matter if you get 101 blade and 101 str, the damage stays the same. So, if you keep leveling after around twenty, your damage will nose-dive, while the monster health skyrockets. To put it like this, if you have max str, max blade skill, and a daedric longsword which has a base dam of 24 , your weapon damage will increase by a , drumroll please .... 3.45 pts of damage. While enemies scale to your level having max level gear with you and health as high, or higher, than you well above 300 hp. Even if you enchant you weapons, it'll at best be around 30pts more, unless you pull off some broken enchantment. The only way to remain relavent at high levels is use two-handed weapons with enchantments and poison, custom-spells, or don't go past level twenty. Also, don't invest in luck, stats cap at 100, and lucks bonus is just a small bonus to each stat, but it doesn't effect it after a stat hits 100. Except speed, atheltics, and acrobatics, I think those scale endlessly.

neither morrowind or oblivion are games that require you to twink out your character 100 in all stats by level 10 to play the game, stats mean basically nothing compared to equipment. Morrowinds problem is that you can get high level end game equipment at level 1, Oblivion's problem is that there *is* no high level equipment with some exceptions, and that everything "levels" meaning if you win a magic sword at level 1 or level 30 they have 2 different stats, that the bandit you fought at level 1 now has ultra-high end gear and you can no longer walk down the road without being attacked by minotaurs. '"x5 level up" fixes nothing, that's not what the problem is, the difference between 50 strength/agility for a weapon and 100 strength/agility is only a 25% damage increase. They did a good thing removing stats with skyrim but keeping them in FO4, in a literal world with magic it is too easy to completely break the game.

After playing Oblivion for hundreds of hours I finally ended up doing a run where I did the full "efficient leveling" system and it was pretty broken. I actually had fun doing it, and since this was my ultimate character I also finally did all the glitches you can possibly do on the 360 including stacking phantom enchanments on my character to raise all my stats into the thousands, effectively nullifying the point of doing the efficient leveling in the first place XD

The mod which gives you 5 stat-points on each levelup for every stat that has had a single related skill level up by at least 1 fixes this issue. Ofc console players need to either do efficient leveling or play with the difficulty slider.
@moltensh4dow506
@moltensh4dow506 8 күн бұрын
the main problem is that enemies get stronger as you level up, when it should be location and quest progression based, since having enemies scale with you as you level up makes leveling up pointless. another thing that sucks about oblivion and skyrim is that the difficulty slider just makes you and enemies take more/less damage, when it should mostly be enemy AI and ability improvements, enemy amounts and variety, etc.

Oblivion's leveling system wasn't broken, IF you played as the character type you chose to play as. i.e., if you play a thief, you sneak and if you get caught, you run away, you don't become a mage or a fighter because you got spotted by the enemy.

Bethesda still hasn't learned their lessons. Their difficulty health and damage scaling is out of control in every title they create. Fallout 4 still need a health rebalancing mod so that survival difficulty isn't a bullsetsponge snoozefest.

Really happy that everyone universally accepts this as terrible now. Back in the day you had your elitist nerds acting as if it was a skill issue, mental gymnastics justifying how it somehow made sense.. I never had any problems gaming this system even as a kid, but you really shouldn't have to, it's simply no fun and anti RPG.

I had the opposite problem with Oblivion. The game was always too damn easy regardless of how you played. I could handily beat the entire game and all factions on level 1 just as easy as I could on level 30. It gave me little to no incentive to level up or play through the game multiple times.

I'm assuming they took out spell making because laziness. Least effort possible put in to the same quest format over and over, print out a thousand identical dungeon quests and claim the game is huge without doing any work. Skyrim is so god damn boring
