Very nice job and great result. Could you tell me where you purchased the grey sand and grey colored small gravel? Those are both items I would find very useful for my HO mountain scenery. Thanks in advance. Phil Jersey Shore Area
@NightOwl.ScaleModellerАй бұрын
First of all, thank you very much for your nice comment, 90% of the materials I use are natural materials. I always collect them from the places I come across during my travels. Fine sand is sea sand, pebbles of mixed sizes are by the stream. The big gray stones are from a parking lot on an intercity road. But I have also bought such products from the "noch" brand before. you can take a look if you want. 🤗
@uptownphotographyАй бұрын
@@NightOwl.ScaleModeller Thanks for the detailed reply. I will check the Noch brand. There are a few companies that make the small size gravel, but it can getvery expensive when you need a lot of materials. Thanks again! Phil

@@uptownphotography You're welcome Yes, you are right, they sell very small quantities of products at very high prices. The biggest reason why I cooperate with nature for natural materials. cheers 😊🍺

What do you mean by most manual work? Of course, there are places where it is used, but you cannot solve every job with a dremel. Yes. An airbrush is very useful, but first you need to practice with brush painting and washing techniques.

what was the white 'glue' you were using to stick the xps together with, looked like pva but every type of water based glue i've tried on pva doesnt dry when between parts due to the vapour barrier qualities of xps so far titebond rubber glue and hot glue are the best so far
@NightOwl.ScaleModeller2 ай бұрын
Yes, I use PVA glue. So far, I have used PVA glue from many brands and have never had any problems. After 12 hours, it adheres very firmly and is impossible to separate. Could it be related to the XPS foam you use?

which type of pva glue / adhesive do you use for joining xps to xps? i'm just starting out in xps ( i do have a garage and workshop),
@NightOwl.ScaleModeller3 ай бұрын
I don't use a special formula. The standard type can be found in any DIY store or hobby shop. It dries completely after 12 hours (of course, this varies depending on the thickness of the glue you apply). You can also use safe super glues and hot silicone glue. the choice is yours. You can try and choose the method that suits you best.🍻
