I just bought this tank. And I’m so glad you have this video out so I can follow along in building it. Question where can I make that light mount? Also I’m originally from the bay too! SL actually. But been in Vegas for 20 year!

Do you need pvc glue for plumbing and I wish you would have added the plumbing install video

Great video! How long does it take to seed the rock with bacteria?

lol. So people add OG to everything and now adding “original” to OG… nice

Thanks for sharing this method of cementing the rock. I have a tank that has been established for years now without cementing the rocks together. If I use this method on the rocks in the tank now, how long do I have to wait to put the rock back in the water? I am wondering if I can pull a few pieces of rock out, cement them in place (hopefully it wont take too long) so the rocks don't dry out (keeping the bacteria alive) and add them back to the tank (with fish) - Thanks!

Hey Peter, I'm repeating your idea with the light stands, but glueing them to the aquarium instead. I wonder, what is your lighting weight is about?

Forget if I commented before, but waiting to see the build part where we see the right side cabinet with the cable management and controllers. I have the same technique currently stumped on how to put in a shelf or something similar

NO ! That sands contain live bacteria , you must mix the saltwater 1st then add it to the tank !

I'm lucky enough to live close to Golden State Corals store location. Great corals, price, great stuff and the owner is awesome. I've known him since he worked at another store before he opened up his own shop. If you are in the San Fernando valley, I recommend you stop by . You won't be disappointed and they recently expended their shop.

That last piece of epoxy was kinda useless 😂 some epoxy on the other side of the rock also wouldve made it more secure but itll be fine for what it is

So far so good. Is this something unique for the nyos cement or can I do that with any cement like Marco e40? Also, where did you purchase the aluminum bars used for mounting the lights?
@bayarea_reef5 ай бұрын
I'm not sure if it will work with the Marco e40. If I get my hands on some I'll try it out. The extruded aluminum bars were custom cut and ordered on 8020.net
