Hi Desmond Zee, good to see another Black man who enjoys reading books. We are quite rare these days, Black women are WAY ahead of us.😮 Come on brothers, reading is an important activity.

I tell myself that I am going to either skip your new videos because my TBR list is already WAY TOO LONG, or I will let myself watch it, but I WILL NOT WRITE DOWN ANY OF THE SUGGESTIONS. Uh-huh. Sure. That’s just exactly what I do. Apparently I just can’t miss out on any of your golden (and often hysterical) words and suggestions. Thanks for taking some time off from posting to give me a chance to cross a book off my list 😜. You’re awesome 💜.

So with you on 300-350 being my page limit for books! If it’s not a fantasy where there’s world building/magic system explanations, why does a fiction book need to be longer than 350 pages?!

Claudia was a young black girl with a learning disability, raised in church with strict parents . I was raised the same way. Was naive for a long time. So I understood why she was the way she was. All the before the before was a little annoying tho

The books that made me cry was Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan and The Love Songs By W.E.B Du Bois. What happened to Lydia in the book had me emotional 🥹

I keep saying I’ll read The Love Songs of W.E.B. Du Bois, but then I look at that page count.

@@DezmondZ I understand I was kind of intimidated about the page amount, but that was an amazing book. Try to set a month for it because you got to take your time with that book because it talks about a lot of people in the family that faced trauma (slavery, racism, elitism, colorism, drug use etc) when you read it ,it feels like you going through the journey along with the family members. Is it amazing book if you read it, you understand what I’m saying in this comment.❤️

Dezmond- I’m glad you had time off, but I missed you! Loved your commentary, singing, and humor per usual! Looking forward to “The..Louding Voice” sequel!!! Funny thing about book length- I got a book (The Bee Sting) through Libby for my Kindle, and I’ve been reading and reading. I had it on percentage that had been read along with the page number, and it seemed that no matter how many pages I read, the percentage never changed. Finally I decided to check the length, and it has 656 pages….656 PAGES!!! Luckily it’s an intriguing read with an interesting writing style, so I will keep going. It’s a good thing I didn’t know the length when I started it, or I might not have checked it out. 😊
