Right on it’s nice to be able to finish the mission and be ready for the cut and it is always a bonus when you come across a situation where someone was really thinking when they replaced the rivets with nuts and bolts so it would be easier for the next guy usually it’s the other way around where the previous guy made a mess instead of fixing it probably so good for you and it’s nice when you get advice that works like when you ran the RPM’s higher 😀🇨🇦

Can you imagine what it was like keeping the equipment going on a farm if you didn’t have a welder.
@tractorrescueranch368211 күн бұрын
The welders are very important on the farm. You go way back and the blacksmiths had to stick things together without a welder. That's probably mostly a lost art.
@oldamericaniron576712 күн бұрын
I would think with the price of steel the cost of wire would almost make using wire tie prohibitive but you have to use what you have. Old twine tie balers are everywhere here but maybe not so much in your area of the country. Being frugal as you are I’m sure you are always looking for ways to save.
@oldamericaniron576712 күн бұрын
It only happens to a new tire. If they won’t I’d have them take it off, go home, patch it and put it back on myself. Our local farm store has patches with cords in them for strength, maybe some available on internet. You have nothing to lose, it’s junk the way it is and as you say it only goes a few miles an hour.

Reminds me of helping my grandad when I was 14-15-16 years helpin him get his hay in. He used a cikle blade mower w/about a 7-8' blade w/Tri-Angle teeth, he had a windrower w/a 12-14' cylinder w/spokes. He would make the first two passes cuttin a field then he would turn the TO-20 Ferguson over to me to finish the field, Thats where I learned how to use a clutch. Same thing for windrowin a field. He hired a guy to bale his fields. Grandad had an old Montana Grain truck w/about a 14-16' bed on it, that he would buckle a conveyor to side of truck that we picked up bales with and haul to barn, truck had a real low granny gear, that was handy for that job. Your Hoodie strings with the open flywheels, first cut should be the Hoodie strings. May be an idea to add a Guard on the feed side of the blade, your head was inches away from the open blade on the back side. Your machine has a big cooling jug with a drip feed to extend blade life, without cooling the blade you will burn up the blade teeth very quickly. Your poor Hack saws looked at the saw with rejection, "we have been replaced".

For your own safety, you need to get rid of those hoodie strings hanging from your hoodie. Around rotating machines, they can wind up very fast and quickly capture you in a deadly position. Unable to reach the shut-off switch, among other things. You have many potential hazards, and surely we do not want to see that happen in one of your videos.
