Hey man, do you know how to install the OS on one of these? I have our original family laptop which was just like this but it died in 2007. I've thought about getting one of these just for the nostalgia because I loved ours before it died. I've found a bunch on eBay but none of them have the OS which is really unfortunate, I'd love to be able to get one of these and get it running like a normal computer.

@@novice_fangirl52 I did find some assistance but I'm stuck on figuring out how to connect an IDE SSD to the computer because most of them are missing the hard drive and tray.

I really appreciate it, right now I can't even afford to get one of those laptops, but almost splurged on one a month and a half ago xD I'm going to wait until I have some more funds around but once I do I'll probably get one of these and the SSD or whatever I can make work and get back to you on that.

@@novice_fangirl52 Also I realized later that we had a ze1230 not 4400, I misread the 1 as an L and was convinced it was a zel230 or ze2300 but quickly figured out my mistake xD

Batteries lose their ability to hold their charge over time, so it's no suppose a laptop from 2001 doesn't hold one at all anymore. I inspected the battery, and it seems to use those rechargeable cells that kinda look like AA batteries, so it should be possible to build a new battery if you're decent at soldering

Dude!!!! I have been looking for a video to do this that was straight forward and it actually worked!! I have a question tho, I need to do this to two 3vdc 300mA led filaments, your circuit works for them, but the voltage is slightly low to fully power the leds.. any ideas would be super appreciated!

dang I know its been a while... But I was wondering if you can get a good picture of the underside of the board like @ 1:20 I need to know which pins are connected to a 3rd hole. Some of them have a 3rd hole instead of just two... Not all were connected but a couple were on mine. I had removed the caps... and various health issues arose and I was able to sit down and try and put the new ones in... Then I realized... I couldn't remember which were connected and which were not.
