Nice video, I just got this same laptop about a week ago and ordered a new 8gb chip to get it to 16gb. Also wanted to add my old 1TB drive from an older laptop. Helpful, thank you. Thumbs up

Thanks for the vid, great job of explaining the guts of this machine. I ended up buying this model, was hoping it came with an NVM.e and it did. Glad everything was accessable.

Hi. Thank you for posting this video. It was very informative indeed. I have a few questions, if I may: I’m interested in getting this same 5593 version with i5, 8gb configuration. Aside from being able to upgrade the RAM, is the CPU upgradable to an i7 as well down the line? Thank you in advanced for your response.

nah the processor is sorterd into the motherboard. You can only change storage, ram or wifi if required

Awesome video! I just wanted to know if that is a 4gb ddr4 Ram you connected? Would I be able to connect a 8gb ddr4 Ram? Sorry I’m not good with laptops. 🙂

Was your processor i5 or i7? If either one, does it really matter how much ram and ssd you need? For example, I'm looking to get 1tb ssd and two 16 gb ram, but I'm not sure my processor could handle that. PS: I'm not so much knowledgeable in computers so I'm just looking for an advice before I start upgrading my ssd and ram.

Hi, My laptop came with 8 GB RAM. I am planning to upgrade with additional 16 GB Ram. Can I use 16 GB single channel Ram in additional slot. Will both rams work together with 24 Gb capacity? or Max 16 GB only (Since the new one is single channel Ram- which is little cheaper than multi channel). Please clarify. Thanks

I am already running out of space on the 512 GB SSD on the 5593 after a few months. I'm thinking about buying a 2.5 " SATA SSD drive (512 GB or 1 TB) to add to the open bay in the laptop. Hopefully, I can do it without breaking anything.

Why didn't you go with 16gb of RAm and be in full dual channel? I would have also added another SSD for more storage.

So this slot for M.2 ssd is already used? And how come my laptop is using ~4GB RAM before I even touch it and yours just under 3GB? :D

If the model you buy comes with an NVMe (AKA PCIe) SSD, it's in the M.2 slot. Maybe mine is using less because I haven't really installed much yet?

@@Someone7089 Thx. Mine is brand new, opened 2 days ago so maybe some services were still running in background. I just wonder if you could retrofit bigger battery from other Inspiron models (60-80Wh).
