I love your focus on the health and the life in the soil. I enjoy other gardening channels but always feel like they miss the mark when they’re not concerned about the life in the soil at all (but they probably just don’t know).

I planted 2 olive trees about 6 years ago in the ground. I never had the chance to prune them the next year and they haven’t been touched since. They are now about 4m tall. There are many branches coming from the trunk at ground level. There’s been plenty of fruit but branches hang down and now I feel it’s too late to try and get some shape into the tree. Will I kill them if I cut all branches at the main trunk to try and get that mop top shape?

I've watched you for years mate. I love your sense of humor, the way you interact with your dogs and camera person, I love that you share your private garden journey with us. I am thankful for the info you give too. I have bought a few products from your shop and they are exactly as you claim them to be. And yes, we all need to make a living, so all the negative poo heads can just go and eat McDonalds 😅. All the best Mr Vasilli 😊

Vasili. I thought citrus didn’t like company/competition around the base? That’s a lot of oxalis under your grapefruit. In my opinion. Am I incorrect??

Another great short video thank you. Are you able to do one on Lemon trees and thorns or spikes. I’m on a few gardening sites and so many people are unaware of pests and citrus defending themselves.

Inbetween last harvest and the buds swelling. Especially with citrus

Ha! It was 21 here in Renmark today! 😁 I got out and spread some fertiliser and a potting mix/cow manure blend around the fruit trees after watching one of your vids. A little late maybe, but earlier than I usually would. The buds are already swelling nicely so it won't be long! 🙂👍

Living in North Wales 🏴 so your videos do help me a lot in growing my citrus trees . The weather here is cold and always raining so well surprised of how the citrus is holding on . Should I be worried about the rust forming because of the constant wind ? Great update on this video , glad to see your plants thriving 🤲

Hi Vasili I too have frost damage to my Oranges and Lemons on the new growth tips. My question is do I cut off the damaged tips?

You will need to buy his product and apply 😂
@vasilikanidiadis2251Күн бұрын
Yes, you will need to prune them off eventually, but I would wait until the end of winter to avoid any further frost damage should the tree start to grow immediately after the pruning.

Don't prune until after your last frost date.😊

Use a shop vac drill a hole an inch before the end of the vacuum tube. Stick a long screwdriver through the hole vacuum and pry at the same time. Then treat with imidacloprid as a drench. After say that if any part of the trunk or canopy is compromised more than 30% remove and replace.

I just ordered seeds I got pot coriander going in old yoghurt tubs with take away containers for the the saucer on the window sill, also lettuce mix seeds, mustard leaf mix seeds, red Russian kale that I'll eat when its younger and still super tender and nice, I'm growing in doors in a window that gets direct sun but also has a grow light on a timer and a wall of mylar film I tapped onto a frame, BUT I got this other one "Basil mix seeds" featuring "mystery basil!!!!! It's annual basil mix! That should be good! It won't last long then I'll EAT IT! PLUS IM doing 2 40cm square self watering pots of mint peppermint, that's really the biggest thing I'm aiming for! Everything else will be in 28cm self watering pots and just some small window boxes!

My grow bags have lasted as long just DON'T try and move them because the handles and bags will tear. Nothing lasts for ever. If you are careful the tree and soil can be removed from the bag, then dry the bag out and it can be re-used.

Is growing pretty much grass around your fruit trees, especially shallow rooted grass that doesn't get down into the subsoil really the best for promoting life in the soil. I would have thought couch and fruit trees aren't exactly the best companions.

Some of mine were three years old last year, and are still going, but quite honestly, I'd get a better crop by planting new ones each year. Mind you, I still have a few little capsicums and chillies on the bushes right now, they're a bit small though.

Vasilli, what size drill are you using? I have a similar setup, great tool for digging holes, but I don't think my drill is powerful enough. By the way, love the zero turn!
