I'm learning baritone ukulele fingerstyle and it's a relief to hear that nails aren't required. I've been growing mine out, but I really don't like the way it looks. Listening to some of your other videos, the sound is very pleasing to my ears.

This music (played like this) is so strong, you can almost taste it. It is like a strong broth that revives you after a long journey or illness. Thank you!

I am a classical guitar player (no nails)…..just an advanced beginner all my life and study the Fred Noad books and Pujol……anyhow I have deering banjo for the fun of it……I am having trouble learning claw hammer and always seem to gravitate to just my fingers……is there any basic music you might recommend? For a classical guitarist learning open back banjo? Thank you for all you do….

Rob, could you recommend a rqnge of entry level tenor banjos suited to that Bach repertoire? Im a cellist, recently picked up 5 string banjo very interested in adding tenor to play these suites!

Hi... So much beauty and magic in your playing... If I may ask - Are all these preludes played only with a flat pick? Thank you Rob
I'm playing through the songs in the book, playing the melodies and also elaborating them in places with chords and ornamentations. It's fun! I have a question though. Is there a more complete name for that first song "Aria" by Mozart? I don't recognize it and I have a hard time finding other recordings of it etc.

Does the your book also have music? I'm using a fifth tuned uke to supplement violin practice. I love your books.

What an interesting sound you've produced, Rob! I don't know whether the major factor here is your playing without fingernails and your unique right hand technique or the Aquila strings. Anyway, the sound is incredibly soft and round and is a wonderful complement to this piece about blossoming youth.

1:21 "no nails" trbrrbpprr = Zero control cannot play tremolo. doesnt feel good. cannot play loud without losing control. just let thrm grow for 1 month or so. its required for classical. as segovia proved
