Horrible weather, terrible neighbors, no culture, Sacramento is horrendous and there are no bookstores justignoramouses.

Here's my tip for those with allergies: Fennel + Thyme tea. It has been almost 6 months since I drank these teas daily (replacing water) and my symptoms have completely gone. I no longer need to drink allergy meds or wear a mask to avoid pollen. After almost three decades of suffering from seasonal allergies, I will no longer take my doctor's advice since they are working with pharmaceutical to make money. Anyway, back to my point. Elk Grove sucks. There is no reason for Elk Grove's houses to cost $600k or more. One reason is because Bay Area and Democrats. I moved out years ago and am debt-free, paid off the house, and have just been taking it easy on my work and saving most of my paycheck. About 10 years ago houses in El Dorado Hill cost only $500k.

Live in Jackson (Amador County), and commuted to Rancho Cordova for 13 years (state job). 50-60 minute commute. Avoids traffic, rural driving all the way. Listened to audio books. Depends on the type of community you desire. I live in a small Gold Country town. Reddest county in California. 👍 I’d move OUT OF CALIFORNIA if I didn’t like my town so much.

There are new clubhouse renderings/video for Madeira Ranch, as of early June 2024. There is no indoor pool. If you visit Turkey Creek you understand why... Underutilized and a sauna in the summer. Tentatively, a golf simulator room is in the rendering. Mel Roos is about 350/mo, property tax about 1%, hoa about 360/mo. Its not for everyone, but its a great, unique concept for ACTIVE 55+ retired/pre-retired people.

The upper part of Antelope near PFE RD/Roseville border is a good area.

Don't drive to downtown on WATT from Roseville or Antelope, the North Highland section has a lot of potholes until you crossover Highway 80.

I’d like to know are there Mello Roos and what would be the property tax in these homes because there’s currently no one living out in this community.

These houses are so close together. The aesthetics don’t bother me at all, it’s just how dark everything will be when you put on shades/blinds to block out looking into your neighbors’ bathrooms/rooms. You’re eyeball to eyeball with them. The house will be much darker and closed off. I’d love to see you lowering the blinds in future reviews.

Our plan was to move to el dorado hills or granite bay instead of leaving the state. We thought we could handle the politics, garbage, and homelessness that plagues CA if we walked ourselves off in a great community but you still have to interact with the rest of Sacramento. Taxes still suck so Dunedin, FL will be our home in 3 months. Golf cart living right on the water beats the hell out of anything Sacramento can offer.

EG used to be such a nice, calm place, and then all the buildings started. Now there is traffic, development everywhere pushing wild life habitat out. I have 4 years left to retire than leaving.

Anyone not moving out of California has to be mentally ill. With all those stupid harsh over taxing laws and bullying of your funds, I cannot understand for the live of me who the hell would want to move to California when most are moving out.

Sacramento is no longer affordable. A studio apt will run you $1200.00 a month. Homeless are everywhere sleeping on the ground. Sad...

I don’t own a home, I rent a 3 bed 2 bath in border of Mountain View and Sunnyvale Bay Area. Houses may be cheap in or by Sacramento. I would rather rent than be miserable. 100°+ during summer way too cold during winter. Middle of nowhere. Nice homes though
