Loz is too big to be a linebacker, who usually weigh around 230 pounds or less now. Probably offensive guard would be the spot, guards usually weigh about 310 - 360 tops.

I'll start this with I'm autistic. Loz saying autism isn't a restrictive or a barrier when it comes to strongman is just not true. Neurotypicals have never had to train while recovering from meltdowns /shutdowns /burnout etc so they don't understand. Never mind with competing under those conditions. I would also point out the spoon theory when it comes to explaining energy restrictions with disorders like autism. All reasons why there is a 80-90% unemployment rate with people on the spectrum. I have to say I'm abit surprised whith Loz being a parent of an autistic child to not understand this

Surely you are aware there are number of high profile athletes with autism like Tom Stoltman who manage it? Lozs opinion on it comes from living with it in his own household, and also seeing how Tom has progressed to being 3 x WSM winner whilst managing it Loz is always a big supporter of not limiting yourself based on an impairment or disability and he believes strongman is one of if not the most welcoming sport out there, so I'm surprised by your comment if you are a long time follower or fan I would have thought you would understand that

Autistic myself dude I have my own bissness with 6 employees I train and compete in strongman yes its can be abit more challenging but like every thing you get out what you put in my first 2 comps I drove there had a freak out drove 6 hours back home a big difference that helped me was a coach that rocked up family friends being Autistic is not just negatives but so many more advantages sooner you see how to work it in your favour the better you can do anything it's how you go about it

@@FriendsOfCalvinjust because some manage it doesn’t mean everyone can mate. Some would struggle a lot more to function than Tom. Don’t diminish this guys experience just because you’ve seen others succeed.
@FriendsOfCalvinКүн бұрын
@strongmansam289 I appreciate that there is a lot rolled up into that, but the original statement is equally generalized shooting down lozs view on it not being restrictive from this persons perspective. Not meaning to diminish anyone's personal experience with it, but I do still feel mainstream Healthcare has a lot of people convinced from the outset that autism = you can't do X and therefore you shouldn't try. Tom is a great example where initially it was crippling for him mentally to do any of it including competing, but he's turned it on its head and harnesses it as best he can. Apologies to the original commenter if this came across as diminishing your experience as that wasn't my intention at all, my aim was to highlight that Loz focusses more on not letting anything stop you trying anything, especially autism. You don't necessarily need to compete, but strongman gyms are probably the most welcoming and understanding to anyone from any background

I enjoy him as a strongman and as an actor. Outside of that he has done things that I have enjoyed and disliked. At the end of the day he seems like a normal guy with extraordinary strength. Don't love him, but definitely wish the best for him and am glad he is back in strongman.

It's just like making Babe Ruth sit out five seasons of baseball because he hit too many home runs. Such a travesty to take titles away from a man that would have made him the greatest strongman ever, officially. Five seasons because they're too good! It's just mind-boggling that they got away with that. None of those strong man that won during his absence, can really believe they are worthy of it.
