Ayyo 89s gift lever closed is for even lengths of hair and lever open is for blending bro!
@89sGift3 жыл бұрын
🤣🤣🤣 bruh what?? That’s 100 percent not true
@RedNBlackPill3 жыл бұрын
You said an open guard is a 1. But an attached 1 guard is a 1 and a half. Doesn't make sense. The lever is either a whole level of a half. Your saying it's both
@89sGift3 жыл бұрын
If you rely on measurements you will confuse yourself. You don’t need to overthink it. The blade with no guard can go from 0-1 (in detachable blade measurements) or... open blade no guard is also referred to as a half. You can also put a 1 guard on top of a #1 detachable blade and it will measure very close to a 1.5
@chrizzzcta00193 жыл бұрын
I don’t have a question about the guards but can you charge your cordless clippers/trimmers while cutting someone hair. And will the charging speed of the Clipper/trimmer be affected if you are using them while having them charged

LoL 😂 Why I gv away my Andis’s clipper I use for fading for 20yrs... just brought the Senior, magic clip, & the legend combo ... I’ve been cutting since 1989 ( started in the basement on my lil cuz).. then fading my own hair by mid 90’s & workg in a shop by the early 2000’s & I tried the clipper guards on wahl & let’s just say I need to either find a MORE COMPLETE guard set .. or i gotta go bye another Andis’s clipper set w/ the PROPER guard levels... Wahl has to do better in this area...

now andis has 0.5 and 1.5, so are they even worth buying? at least the 1.5 guard?
@89sGift4 жыл бұрын
You’re right I saw that. I’ve actually stopped using masters and andis guards completely. But if I had to guess, I’d say it’s definitely worth buying.
@littlestar57374 жыл бұрын
6:11 it should be 1/4 and not 1/2 correct?
@89sGift4 жыл бұрын
No, it’s ROUGHLY a 1.5 The 1 guard open cuts to just about even with a 1.5 guard closed. It’s a little give or take. But they are very close.

Would you recommend cutting yr own hair if yr new at this and haven’t even went to barber school, bc I’m not going out so I was thinking on practicing on myself
@89sGift4 жыл бұрын
I think if you plan to start cutting hair, practicing on your own hair wouldn’t hurt. It’s harder, but it wouldn’t hurt. I think at this point, why not. Just take your time with it. Get ready to spend an hour or more in the mirror lol.

At 5:10 when you say it opens all the way up to a 1 then why at 6:08 when you put on the 1 guard with lever all the way open say it’s 1.5 ? Wouldn’t a 1 lever all the way open equal to a 2 guard ? I’m assuming that you get the 1.5 if you use the lever half way open instead ?

Thank you so much for explaining your video is the best. True knowledge and no bullshit. The only thing I'm concerned about is not getting a 1.5 with my wahl set. I thought putting the 1 guard and keeping the clipper open is 1.5 🤨
@89sGift5 жыл бұрын
Bojan Tanasic for some reason the 1 won’t completely blend into the 2 without some finesse. But once u get that 1.5 guard it’ll bring everything together. Btw this is a VERY BASIC method. Eventually you’ll see that you can make due with whatever u have. 😉 thanks for watching.

Is it okay to use plastic guards that come with wahl magic clips
@89sGift5 жыл бұрын
Yea for sure. The best wahl guards are the premium guards with the metal clip. But yea any wahl guards work fine.

89s Gift thanks a lot and another question is t outliners a good trimmer I’ve been seeing they over heat a lot
@89sGift5 жыл бұрын
Anthony miranda they are great trimmers. Just about every trimmer on the market will over heat if you continuously leave them running. Anyone who says a particular trimmer never overheats is lying lol. I promise u that. But they are great. I find they’re best when used on black ppl hair. I’m putting up a review soon of the new gold babyliss trimmer. Watch out for it.
