i’m wondering, it’s more expensive here in California, but I never heard of a Filipino Family who decided to go back in Philippines. retirees maybe, but Kids who found good job and adapted the way of life in California and are not “lazy” remain in The US. i’m just a skilled worker with 5 kids my wife is a Caregiver. we don’t plan to go back in Philippines.

Canada is no longer worth it. All you do is pay taxes and then the government wastes your money on other countries or foolish programs like giving free drugs to addicts. Been here 17 years. Thinking of leaving. I'm a successful immigrant, i make 6 figures and own my home. And i don't think Canada is worth it anymore.

Bare minimum is what Canada has to offer new citizens. aim lower with your budget. like Food Bank, Homeless Shelter and taking the bus everywhere. Nice life.

Right unfortunatley the momentum of devaluation of the Canadian Dollar will mean that any saving you have left are worth less with each passing day. Actually the best advice is to limit how much you pay in TAXES. which ends up being 50% of your budget. If you want to stop paying income tax, stop earning.money, if you want to stop paying retail tax then stop buying things. @@FilUCan-ryan

CANADA IS A SCAM.

once u land u realize canada is a welfare hamster wheel thats about to stop spinning and that its really a scam for skilled immigrants. infact, they DONT want skilled immigrants, they need unskilled people for the blue collar jobs so that they can find ppl to keep the welfare state running from the exploititve level of tax they will take from u from ur blue collar job!! forget about getting on the asset ladder. its like canada is that girl who keeps good guy (skilled immigrant) around as a backup as a "friend" if their first choice of guy she is dating (natives) dont work out. its the reason why they have this BS arbitrary "canadian experience" requirement so that u cant compete on an even playing field. its one of those racist glass ceiling schemes they got their going on. and canadians are 2 faced passive aggressive zombie Ostridge who are so traditional in thinking and yet so woke. they dont like immigrants, u can tell that, but say that u can leave if u dont like it here when infact they actually need immigrants more then they realize.

I am a Japanese, I have many friends in the Philippines and Japan. In japan there is a big community of the philipino people My friend from Manila teaches English in the elementary school, she is almost satisfied with her job here, but she need more money because she has to send money to the family in Manila, but, Japan has a full national medical insurance for everyone, foreigners can have the same benefits as Japanese. Our problems are language and different customes, but many Philippino people are friendly and seems to be adjust to our society. Our country is now changing the law for the foreign people who wants to work I like Philippino people, we hope some of you come to Japan in the future

Thanks a lot for your feedback! It's very heartwarming and encouraging at the same time. Japan is such a wonderful country. I was there to visit Tokyo for the second time with my family last September. We were just amazed with the wonderful culture of the people. My personal favorite was the food, we went to Ichiran and that I would say was the best ramen I ever had in my life. My wife loves going to Don Quijote for shopping as you can pretty much find all the things you need at a very affordable price. We will definitely visit again. 😀

Canada is a beautiful country, but it’s also a gruelling pulp grinder. Do your homework. Plz don’t expect a bed of roses. It’s expensive, it’s tough, and it’s also isolating. Do have a VERY good reason to want immigrate here and yes, make sure you have PLENTY of savings. Don’t expect a dream job, you won’t get it. Best if you’re a remote skilled worker or freelancer with an existing income, or if you’re in trades with proof of certification so you can challenge the exams here. Otherwise you’re F’d if you think you’re gonna waltz into a corporate gig in tech or finance.

These migrants leaving Canada will have a shock when they go elsewhere , costs are rising across the globe , and very few countries have resonable living costs . The vast majority of migrants today are economic migrants looking for a well paid job , and these are few and far between . Not many go to Canada and live outside the big cities and try and live in smaller places with a simpler life .

Great vid. That’s the truth. Most Filipinos are a degree holders. Unfortunately, it’s not & will never be recognize in Canada even being a clerk 😂. As you said , of course expect minimum wage from odd jobs. Full or part time , there’s no way you can survive alone or independently especially renting a modest bachelor apartment. Ended up on a shared accommodation which also not cheap ( example gross $2,100/ mo less taxes, nothing left ) and main purpose of Filipinos is to send money back home. Omg , nothing left & they become poorer compare back home where they have an AVERAGE LIFESTYLE, DECENT JOB & HAPPY WITH FRIENDS & LOVE ONES ! Regrets Regrets lol & disappointment BUT ASHAMED TO GO BACK HOME! I’m retired professional here & I felt so bad to new comers unlike us before we’re lucky to practice our profession & upgraded our degree. Discrimination is a BIG FACTOR as well , just polite lol 😂 Oh well, Canada is my home for almost 45 yrs but planning of going back home & enjoy my decent private & government pensions. Bless all the new striving below poverty Filipinos. ❤

As an Englishman that lived for ten years in Canada, and 60 in the US, AND went back to Canada in 1018 and went back to the US in 2020, I will say why I left, mainly two reasons, but about 4. 1. It is really cold, 9 months of the year. The first snowflake that falls I. SEptember, is still there at the end of April. In the US , IF it snows, it will be gone the next day. Temperatures will go into the 50s a day or two later. 80 below is rare, but minus 20 f is normal. Even Canadians stay inside. 2. Big one here...they will NEVER venture outside of perhaps 2 or three friends, are YOU are not one of them. When I was in the Canadian Army, in a 4 man room, no one spoke to each other for four years. I tried, as a 17 year old to be friendly, and they started a rumor I was queer. Why else would a man speak to another man ? When I went back in 2019, my apartment was across the street from a Legion Hall. I would buy several rounds drinks, got thanks pal !.. but when I tried to join 3 men I HAD SERVED WITH, at a 5 seat table , they looked at me like I was nuts, and moved to another table. They apologized, and said they were mates. 3. Taxes are about 50 percent, cars about twenty on a purchase. 4. Health care. As a citizen, I had Ontario health care, and veterans support. 4 doctors offices had signs outside.." if you are a new patient, do not even come in. We are not seeing new patients. " I went to the local hospital for emergency care...sign on door .." if you are pregnant and in labour's, do not come in. We have no anesthesiologist " ( I am a man, but gave up ) I drive 12 miles south to a New York hospital, and got taken care of immediately. ( no charge, as I have Medicare, $ 120 a month). Also Canada Customs are bullies and idiots. I could go on, but it will be a cold day in hell before I return. I loved Canada, but that Canada is long gone.

For those who believe in "If there's a will, there's a way," listen up! Forget that student visa! You can come to Canada as a tourist. So while here In Canada living with some generous and welcoming relatives, look for janitorial jobs. Almost all big cleaning companies have LMIA that can hire foreign nationals. So while in Canada, you can process your work visa and eventually work here legally. Yes, I'm speaking for my neighbor. Start small then dream big over time.
