The Gasket is gone, piece of shit motor. Making the water pump unable to do its thing cause the motor gets so damn hot. The oil turns to shit not able to accurately Lubricant the crank shaft gears ⚙️ around the bearings. Thus the whole engine turns to crap after 60k -100k miles

So I tried this and my 2 top windshield wiper indicates keep flashing back and forth and when I turn the car off all of them flash except the bottom one I'm wondering if it has something to do with my driver's side blend actuator needs replaced also I will mention that my ac doesn't work

Bro I'm calling cap on it not being your head gasket, lol. Literally those symptoms, of the mixing of the oil and coolant in both spots, along with the low coolant are 100% symptoms on blown head gasket. That are never symptoms of a bad intake manifold gasket.

I'm about to do this on my 2001 Century. One question I have is, do the rockers get tightened down all the way, or do you tighten the bolts until the rods don't spin? (Like take out the valve lash, ect) But, other than that, awesome video and I'm very grateful for this!!

Oh kany lights been flashing for two years smh. It's getting colder now and I just tried to use the heat and it's blowing AC? God I hope the blend doors calibration will fix it. Fingers crossed 🤞

Heat gun does wonders, also if you had opened the trunk to feed the wire in the beginning been easier but thanks for the video its been some time, . But some pos busted mine out for no reason so off to the bone yard and pull one.

Poor guy you can hear the stress in his voice. 😂 we’ve all been there. I’ve done this job so many times I can do it blind folded. I don’t even need the manual anymore the manual needs me. It’s sad. I learned what gaskets are best, what etc sealant is best, what thread lockers and sealants to use. What to remove what not to remove All The Hard Way! 😡 I’ve been in that dang 3100 so many times I feel like I’m GM. These engines are always going to leak though. It’s a design flaw. So long as you use the metal gaskets you’ll be alright. Nothing will stop these from leaking oil though. Especially now that synthetic is all they sell in stores. If there is a gasket it will leak out. So long as it’s not coolant leaking in the oil I’ve accepted it. These are definitely relics of gm’s trial and error years where they finally later realized to keep coolant and oil passages separate and far far away from each other.

it will be true..... Once that intake plenum comes out it will leak air and oil forever no matter how you tork it, and will cause a rough idle as well. It takes hours just to remove the heat risers and grounding straps on the plenum, it is so not worth it. thank you so much

Great video, I have read the repair manuals quite often regards to heater and A/C work and many other repairs but never saw this outlined, maybe its in the owners manual but never in all my years of owning this generation Caravan's have I read, seen or heard anything about this procedure.

You wouldn't get shocked, but you could explode a battery, or a cable could flop back in place and turn on the fan or something. Either of those could hurt you.
