If you buy name brand filters they arent much trouble. Its the cheap amazon filters that aren't shaped properly for the intake hole.

Walbro makes the nozzle but saw salvage.co actually has a 620 aftermarket carburetor that would solve the problem too.

The detail with explaining what you do, demonstrating how to perform the mods and the testing is so well done, I thought I was in a classroom. You could be a small engine instructor, that's how good you are, I'm very serious.

I installed your aluminum deflector and key. I have a 620 carb. How fast should I let this saw run? It will do about 14K. I brought it down to 12.5

I took apart my cs590 carb to clean it because of a no start and noticed that the L/H jets are different lengths. Would anyone know which one is which? At first glance upon teardown, I thought they looked identical, but I should've payed closer attention. The shorter one has a sharper taper, while the longer one is more blunt. Edit: Found out the long blunt jet screw is L, and short/sharp is H. I also had to replace the bypass valve with Walbro 86-578-1 to get it to idle for more than a few seconds. Works great now. The spring loaded punch made it easy. That line is very hard to see at first.

The main reason i grabbed a 7 tooth for my cs600 was soni could run a 28" bar with a skip tooth chain and cut big logs when i needed to. Its a rare event so didnt want to buy a bigger saw but the conbination still lets me get the work done just a bit slower on a smaller saw

Question.?. while cleaning my cs590 carb, i poked a guitar string though the stock fuel nozzle hole to make sure it was clean and a little disc of gasket material came out of the nozzle into the carb throat. is that supposed to be there ? it looks like maybe it should be... i might try to reinstall it.. or maybe i will just skip ahead to this mod and upgrade while i have it apart.. thanks for the helpful video. any advice ?

My 590 Refuses to start. It floods out after two pulls. You can see fuel coming out of the compression plug. Total nightmare. I have owned many echo saws in the past (440 my all time favorite) and every one of them ran like a sewing machine. Not the 590. Bought it brand new used it maybe 6 times and never for more than 20 mins each time. I actually broke it down earlier tonight after I get it back from the shop (still wouldn't start). super pissed.

Is the chain dull? My F660V eats wood much faster. I will admit I put a big bore pop up piston kit and 8 pin sprocket. 168PSI compression and still breaking in.

You do realize soon as you take it apart there goes your warranty and then you will have to pay cash for every time something breaks now if it's old and your warranty has already passed okay then whatever go for it but you do realize if your warranty will go as soon as you take it apart so if taking apart ruins your warranty that easy what do you think's going to happen when you buy the brand new saw something breaks you take it to the dealer you bought it from to put it under warranty and it has all non-stock parts in it they're going to fix it without telling you anything or saying anything just agreeing with you that they're going to fix it and then when you go to pick it up when it's fixed they're going to hit you with a a bill that says cash or card only and then say you buy it brand new and then you think you know what you're doing and because you're watching this video you start replacing parts and you do something wrong and you blow it up and then it is trash and you just blew $500 these things are f******junk I've had two of them the oilers are junk you have to drill out your oil holes on your bars not all the way through just make the hole bigger turn your oil or all the way up and clean that b**** everyday because if you don't it's going to f****** s*** the bed the cs-590 timberwolf echo is certified piece of shit cheap if you got $500 to spend on that you might as well come up with an extra $200 and buy something decent or just buy the next size up of the same brand but not the timber wolf version because it is f****** garbage dude it's cheap they work good for a little while right after you buy them but then as soon as you start putting them to use and you get them broke in everything just starts f****** braking oh and just a little tip when you guys buy Husqvarna products if you buy a Husqvarna chainsaw if you buy just a chainsaw you'll get a 2-year warranty but if you buy the chainsaw and a gallon of that pre-mixed gas that's like $30 the Husqvarna brand you buy the saw and that premix gas the gallon at the same time and you will get an extra 3 years on your warranty they don't tell you that but go on Husqvarna and read the fine print of every contract and policy they got I spent 2 hours reading everything between that and echo save me a lot of money g

Probably because it's an absolute cow of a thing. Check out Novice Lumberjack, he cut one apart and it's a horror show inside. I think the Tinman Saws mod (almost bypasses the muffler innards) with this deflector cutout mod would be interesting (and both reversible)
