Top info mate, do you jack the car up using the radius arms, or diff shaft & pumpkin with the trolley jack?

@patronan34238 күн бұрын
Good score bud, don’t just jump straight to head gasket it could depend on what Welch plugs they put in it I’ve had it on a few old landcruisers now if they sit with steel Welch plugs and no or old coolant they rust out and goes into the engine there is some under the rocker cover and some in the lifter valley

Awesome combo to use in the 60. I’ve driven a Isuzu NPR truck and was really happy with how it drove. So a 4jj1 is plenty for a 60 series. Great platform looking forward to seeing it evolve!

Cool Ep and lovely choice guys, but you make me laugh you said you do not like the 4 cylinder auto in the 79. but buy one to fit in the 60 series, haha
@smarttouringsystems-garage20 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching Craig and yes very valid point about not liking the 4 cylinder in the 79, but the 4j is a great budget friendly easy to work on reliable conversion for the STS GARAGE skill set (haha) and we wanted to try something a little different. As always thanks for tuning in.

I know the pain guys, many roofs have bloody curved sills and the prices of A/M parts are simply bullsh1t. The issue I see here with yours is that all the weigfht is held by the screws and those tabs. Many get stuck on the weight of what they put on but forget about the real reason for the limit, hit the anchors hard or have a vehicle impact and that weight up there amplifies and usually keeps going. The "backbones" need to be folded under the sill to grab in the moment of brown-pants stop/hit.
@smarttouringsystems-garageАй бұрын
That is a great point and yes we will be careful not to load it up too much .
@bentheguru4986Ай бұрын
@@smarttouringsystems-garage I have had urges in the past to drop the head lining and insert a doubler plate behind roof skin and use a heap of RivNuts to propperly secure a low profile rack on hard points like many light to heavy trucks have.
