3:11 If you look carefully, you see Rafa with his palm up on the boards like "What are you doing? You're way behind the music." 🤣🤣🤣

I hate how the American broadcasters have to talk all through the performance.

Lots of interesting comments about this performance. I recommend viewing her interview with TSL regarding jump choice and choreo under the 6.0 system. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p6qkZauAmdGsgmw.htmlsi=Cetyv2akLLTqzYlA This was the only figure skating event I attended. I navigated ten miles of ice covering Portland hills to see Michelle. It was well worth it.

She’s a great skater. But Tonya Harding was so much more.

I was weird about her at one point but I’ve always loved this performance. Since the night it aired and I re recorded over something on a VHS.

One of the commentators was Chris Schlenkel who would later on do commentary on the pro bowler's tour until they moved the program to ESPN.

Rudy was the last skater (well maybe Jason Brown) in the John Curry tradition.

Tonya was ahead of her time. She did it her style, her way and she was better than anyone.

Sasha is my " twin". Oct 26, 1984. She is easily in my top 5 favourite skaters of all time. The issue was that when it really counted, she was messy. Period. She had uncomparable extension, and a great taste level.... but technically, not strong. Never did Triple Triples. She's still one of my faves, but facts are facts.

I am amazed at how bad her footwork is, considering her skill at compulsory figures. I would think her edge work would be much better

I loved her short hair and I LOVE this program. It was a departure from her usual style. Sassy.

Michelle’s technical abilities would not hold up in today’s skating world but her presence on the ice her artistry and beauty on the ice is still unmatched.

Katia was very lucky girl to be paired with such an incredible man. Not to say she isn’t an amazing woman herself. I think the success they achieved was only because the two were together. They meant to meet and experience this love 💕

Very nice video. It’s fun to compare this performance, which was relatively slow, with her outstanding speed four years later at the 1971 Worlds. Would love to see more free skaters from this 1967 U.S. Championships. What about Jennie Walsh? I’ve read that although Peggy won the event, Jennie outskated everyone and captured the bronze medal. Thank you!

4:12 and on is my fav, even though she doesn’t do a triple. I just love how easily she glides into each step, and at the endish when she does the spin with her leg up; you can actually hear her skate slice the ice. I love that
