Hi Masood - At the end of this video, you comment that air strut replacements do "restore the car to its original factory smooth ride". Let me please ask you an old question of mine: In the case of a leakless pneumatic suspension, what would be the causes of its performance degradation? Have a nice day! Michel
@masood-tv14 сағат бұрын
Hi Michel. I think what I said was that once you have replaced the bad strut, you have restored the ride to its original factory quality...please listen again. Thanks.

My first attempt to remove the bolt has failed. I've used the CTA Mercedes lock tool, a 30 in 1/2 breaker bar with a 24 in steel tube extension and my 5' 8" x 145 lbs couldn't do it - and it would be useless to do with more leverage, because of my height. Some use impact wrenches on crankshaft bolts and CTA even offers special heavy sockets for that purpose. I've never used an impact wrench on a spinning shaft. Does one need to lock the pulley in this case? And could this damage the engine? Your opinion , thoughts and experience on this.
@masood-tv14 сағат бұрын
Hi Michel, you can absolutely use an impact gun, but you would have to remove the fan first to make room for the gun. I have a video on that also. Spray it with some penetrating fluid, leave it overnight or for a time and try again. I am not sure how your height will impede utilizing more leverage. Use as much leverage as possible. Look at my video again. I think I had over 5 feet of leverage easily...
@michelcroteau53813 сағат бұрын
@@masood-tv Thanks for your hints. Is a lock tool necessary with an impact wrench? Some say no, but the bolt being at the end of a spinning shaft, I can't see the difference than using a breaker bar...

Many dont know this but you need to grease the threads on that three jaw puller. Look close, those are all metal filings flying off the threads on the puller shaft where it spins in its bolt. Plus takes away much more friction so impact doesnt have to work so hard. These tools get ruined fast when no one greases threads. Its a common thing. Many buy ball joint removal tools and threads they come dry out of the box. Buyers go at it and on first ball joint they do, threads get destroyed and then they complain and give a bad review of the tool. They just dont know. Just sayin! Great vid. Always well done. Thanx 👍👍

Hello charging without any oil in the AC system is it right?

Hello Ahmad, if you are not replacing parts, there should still be oil in the system. However, replacing components of the AC system requires oil according to manufacturer specs.
@Andrew-yw8vz7 күн бұрын
I’m seeing so much conflicting information. Many saying not to change trans filter. Thoughts on why you did it?
@masood-tv7 күн бұрын
Hello Andrew. That is akin to asking why change the engine oil and filter. It is because of all the moving parts, the gears, the friction, and the resulting heat. All these gears and friction points must be kept well oiled to avoid scoring and deformities. The oil too has to change regularly to maintain its working properties. Then some friction or metallic savings will still get loose and must be filtered out - not cycled back into the engine or transmission valves. Hence, the need for filters and replacing filters periodically. Don't listen to the nay sayers. They really don't know. Think about it logically. How about the example of fryer oil and French fries in restaurants. How long to keep the same oil? The oil is changed,, and, the potatoe debris are filtered out, regularly. Now some manufacturers may claim the transmission oil is good for life. They lie too but for a different reason. Profit.

I just replaced the bearings on my W220 S500 using an SNR kit (R151.35) including the ABS ring. I carried out the assembly correctly, lubricated the parts, checked the clearance with a digital comparator, and tightened all the screws to the recommended torque. The ABS ring doesn't have any grease. However, during my initial drives, I encountered a bothersome issue: the ABS function triggers mostly at low speed when I brake, without any problems or unusual noises during acceleration. I don't see any error messages on the dashboard, nor any errors with the DAS diagnostic tool, but the cruise control function displays an error and requests a workshop inspection when I try to activate it. can you help me ?
@masood-tvАй бұрын
Hi Nicolas, it is most likely your speed sensors. First, make sure, they are inserted and correctly torqued. If that doesn't fix it, scan it with a device that can read wheel speeds.
@nicolasbruant641229 күн бұрын
@@masood-tv I connected the Mercedes to the DAS/XENTRY diagnostic tool and there are no errors. I checked the speed sensors using XENTRY, and the km/h readings are functioning properly. The sensors are not the issue. I tested the entire ABS hydraulic unit, and everything is okay. I am completely lost, I am considering installing the old ABS discs to see if the fault disappears. Because before this change, everything was working fine.

Extremely reliable those 722.6. Thanks for the incentive to do despite the usual cautions.

I'd like to ad an update to the issue described six months ago. I've finally been able to flush the whole power steering system using a similar method as yours, but I would also recommend to replace the reservoir, which incorporates a micro-filter, with every fluid replacement. My car is a 160 k 2001, fluid had, to my knowledge, never been changed and the filter was almost completely clogged. The power steering works now slightly smoother, is also somewhat quieter, but in my opinion, because this service has been neglected, some wear has occurred and it still feels a little weak.

As told in another comment, your approach is quite convincing. I've always been pleased using platform lifts in underground garages in Europe. They are indeed extremely safe. Can you reveal your four post lift brand and cost? And to your knowledge, are four post lifts available that do not require concrete anchors. Cold climate garage concrete floors are often hydronic heated ones and do not allow drilled fasteners.
