With great annoyance I had to turn this off as I couldn’t hear the story with the ridiculously loud music in the background. Please please cut the music!

You should read Doreen Valente’s An ABC of Witchcraft, Past and Present. There might be a Scottish tale or two in there.

I was putting a fence up on the garden when I dug up some dog bones... one night not long after I was watching a movie when I heard my dog jump off my bed and run out my bedroom.. as I shouted at him to come downstairs I turned round and saw the dog was curled up on the corner of the sofa... about 2 years later I was lying in bed with the wife and we both heard a dog cry outside our bedroom door yet our dog was curled up at our feet😅... never heard anything since and it wasn't scary.

I walk on Regent Terrace frequently and never even knew what had there, however there is a building that seriously gives me the creeps as it looks darker and dinghy than the rest, now I wonder if it's the same building 🤔 I'll be looking for those 2 white doors next time I pass and see if it is the same place, I will truly be scared out my wits!! Saying that I had the most haunting experience ever in Gracemount when I first moved to Edinburgh but that's another story. ❤

My Granny & Grandad Hendry moved to Clava Cottages very close to Drummossie Muir in 1969, where the battle of Culloden Moor took place, my parents & my brothers Stuart, Graham & myself visited them as often as possible. I remember Mum telling me that Dad & her visited the moor very late one evening, Mum said the chill that went through her was quite unsettling to say the least. Mum said it felt like a place of terrible tragedy & foreboding & said to my Dad, Ian, let's go back please. I never asked the old man about it, knowing Dad though, he probably said, get a grip Liz (Elizabeth). Lol Aye, I could hear him saying that, never a man to believe in hauntings or spirits. However, I know my Mum & I believe her to the core. I must go back again, it's been a lang time since I was last there. Alba gu bràth! (Scotland forever) The blood is strong.

I appreciate your videos. Clear minimalist narration, good music, subtile, well filmed.

The underlying issue is that his wife completely disrespected the corpse by stealing/displacing a piece of the skeleton and removing it. What happened as a result of that by means of a powerful curse can, I believe be attributed to that. Anyone in possession of it would also be affected most negatively as was related in this story. We may not know how or why these things have happened to so many Egyptologists and tomb explorers in Egypt, but that is no reason to make fun of it. We simply don’t have the details behind the truth of these manifestations of occult actions and behavior. One thing is certain… ghosts and poltergeists are VERY real.

The dimensions of the 'puma' I think are a bit off. The polis says that this was 'three times the size' of the officer but I want some of what he had to keep him warm that night 🤣 Love the tale of the haunting though. 😱👍👏

Whenever we're in Edinburgh we take the vaults tour. One time our camera lost its charge and I had scratches on my back....right in the middle. Never felt anything scratch my back when we were down there..

About that "puma"... I've been stalked by pumas on a couple of occasions, and they are NOT nearly as large as this tale describes them. North American pumas aka mountain lions, catamounts, panthers, are generally 5 to 8 feet long including their long, elegant tails, and generally weigh somewhere between 100 lbs to 220 lbs. A South American jaguar would have been heavier (120 lbs up to 250 lbs) but it would have an obviously spotted coat, or a black coat with faint spots. Other than maybe a lioness, I have no idea what the big cat in this recording would have been.

Excellent Narration. Excellent Voice. Thank You SO Much for the beautiful landscapes-for the Lack of background noise that would interfere-with hearing the wonderful historical, & supernatural information from your great, original Scottish voice. I've always wanted to see Scotland, & now I can, thru your wonderful videos. Please-Change Nothing. It is Perfect, as is. Cordially-Pam

Mold spores can cause hallucinations if exposed to them for extended periods of time. These basements in Regent Terrace are very damp. I as a builder in Edinburgh have worked in many houses on the Terrace so have first hand knowledge of how damp these basements can be....
