Anyone else remember when this video was illegal? Thank god KZfaq and David Bowie said it was good and to stay up.

Bowie fought his label to get it back online. It's sad because now it only has "90k" views, wheres the original had millions. Now random yt channels have more views than the original.

Just watched this again. Love it. Is there a word better than epic? I'm still surprised only 3k views and 130 comments in 4 years. Tells us all we need to know about our earth bound brothers and sisters. They cannot look up as they are so busy scraping a living.

Good job! You really left the pounce to catch the guitar before it impacted until the last second. Obviously you guys get very good at judging that stuff. :-) I kinda gotta wonder about the guy who put that sealant on the viewing window, though, unless that was done in space. In the first case (if done on Earth), he should have been smacked up side the head. If it was done in space, he should be congratulated wholeheartedly. I don't think that window has ever been replaced (it cost a buck or two) since it was installed, but it would surprise me if it was. I wouldn't trust that damned Soyuz to take me to the grocery store, if you put it in the back of a pickup. You guys have balls, I'll give you that! I wonder if Bowie has seen this. I'll bet he got a real kick out of it if he did.

I'm not aware if you actually monitor this but I have a thought in case ya do. I was watching the in-flight video about what playing guitar in micro G was like. (seriously, thank you for those. You answered every question I had since I saw the first photos of guitars on orbit in Soviet space stations) I noticed you tended to bear hug the instrument if your feet weren't stable. Your fellow countryman has already fixed this. You need to get with Alex and get his stand flying! "SCE to AUX kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qLeHnq2azbjYfKc.htmlsi=Xxin0KblBxboHogB

Imagine David Bowie sitting there on Earth and seeing this for the first time. He apparently loved it and called it one of the most poignant versions of his song. Must have been a bizarre feeling seeing a real-life astronaut, orbiting Earth singing your own lyrics you'd written decades earlier about sitting in a tin can and seeing the blue Earth below.

I know this is a few months old and you're a very busy man but I was curious to know if you play any games now that you're retired? Have you tried any consumer level flight Sims? I play Microsoft Flight simulator and a space flight game called Elite Dangerous. I know it's absolutely nothing compared to the real deal but the first time I flew over the Earth In Virtual reality in Elite Dangerous it made me tear up. I wish everyone had the opportunity to see the Earth from space as you have. I think humanity would finally take steps to growing up and growing together. I may be too old to become an astronaut but regardless you've always been a huge inspiration to me. Thank you for your dream and the dreams you've given to countless other people.
