Great video of how you use your Traveller's Notebook John. I recently bought a different brand one as it was half the price of the Midori. It's the same height but a couple of centimetres wider. Still trialing different setups to get it how it will work best for me. I also have a Passport size but am agonizing over whether to use both sizes as I like the small Passport size but then another part of my obsessive brain prefers to have all my different notebooks in one cover & the Passport is a bit too small to be practical. My standard has 4 vertical elastics which saves messing around with extra elastics to pair books together. Regardless of the brand & size the TN's are a great system & Kudos to Midori for coming up with the idea in the first place.

Great vid. I have a Platinum Curidos already but would love one of these for an EDC beater pen. Seems to work great. I love that brown ink as well, might have to pick that up.

I just picked up the 'Dolphin Glow' one. I'm thrilled these are being marketed to us og adults who grew up with them in the 80's, complete with the original designs. (I had a "Rad Dog" one growing up lol.) These are very useful, no matter what your age! Thanks for the vid!

I love them. I picked up a couple and have been using them regularly since they made their way home. Just like my memories when I was a kid. They’re great and I’m glad they’re back.

You mentioned in the video that you’re planning on a destash of some of your items. Do you do that on KZfaq or IG?
@planningwithjohn4 күн бұрын
I do that in a variety of places. When I have a large group to get into new homes I will do a KZfaq video. If I have a smaller selection then I will do them in Instagram stories.

So, you’re a hoarder. Sane person only needs ONE leather cover for all required inserts, usually 2 or 3. A distracted, scatter-mind сrazy person keeps buys stuff with some fake rationalizations. Because more animals must die to fulfill your unnecessary hoarding desires. Shame on you! One leather cover is more than enough, with up to 3 inserts.

Hi John! Thank you for your video and introducing us to this product! I was wondering since it's not on the website...what are the dimensions of the notebook laying completely flat? I'm curious if it compares with the "stuffability" of a Chic Sparrow narrow! Thanks!!
@planningwithjohn18 күн бұрын
It is slightly larger than the midori traveler's notebook and a slight smaller than the chic sparrow narrow.

According to the information on the website, it’s not canvas. “This NWF material has a pre-distressed look to it. NWF is natural wood fiber, technically a paper but with the strength and durability of leather. It is even machine washable. A great non leather or vegan option.” Never knew they had this. I’m partial to the red one.

Hello John, I've been subscribed to you for a long time and I really like your channel. I like to plan in ring planners, but thanks to you, I've grown to love TN notebooks. But in today's video, you showed that you are hosting a Russian bullet journal. I can see that you are learning russian. I am from Ukraine and it was painful for me to watch it. Since you are my favorite blogger I want to ask you if you support the war in Ukraine that russia attacked? This is very important for me to know.
@planningwithjohn26 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching today’s video. I started studying Russian when I was in graduate school working on my Doctorate in Music. My first Russian class was in 1999. This was many years before the war was started when Russian took back Crimea and the. The war that started in 2021 right after the Olympics. I started this bullet Journal back in 2018/2019. I wanted to review daily my Russian as it is something I don’t speak on a daily basis and I didn’t want to loose to much. That being said no I do not support what Russian is doing in the Ukraine. I stand with Ukraine.

Thanks so much! 😊 I love the idea of a Composition Notebook. Especially if it contains just random thoughts. I might shred it or burn it. If there is something in there that I want I’ll rip it out and put it somewhere more permanent. But they cost just a few dollars that they are perfect.

The cat meowing was making me crack-up. Good to see a cheapy tractable. The bit that comes out looks a bit delicate but it’s a good solution to cap the pen which might keep the nib wet. It feels more design they’ve created than a straight up copy too.
