I’m shocked at how rudimentary this is, why do they not have a boom that can move left and right as well,why do they not use a digger to dig the hole instead of slaving away, why don’t they fill the hole with compost and or decent soil to give the roots a better chance, this all seems so 3rd world

I barely know a few phrases in Cantonese. I learned more mandarin because it’s useable all over China. But Cantonese is more fun to speak! Lol

Ive received emails asking me to reach English in china, im confused as to why china wants to learn English. Its not all that great of a language and I'm a native speaker of English.
@StupendousHillis9 ай бұрын
I think it’s because it’s kinda the international language and is great for business or any dealings with non Chinese people.

Man those often kind of dingy, cheap, little Lanzhou Lamian spots throughout China could be so amazing when you find the right one. Those spaghetti style noodles with the green pepper and lamb, all oily with tons of msg. Honestly top 10 dishes I've ever had in my life.

Wow. Just wow. That was absolutely beautiful, man! Thanx for showing me places I'll never get to, and especially for letting us know where you were while you were boogie-ing around the world! Fan-freakin'-tastic! If everyone, all around the world, would just get up and dance, wow. You're a one-man United Nations. Rock on, dude! Respect! Peace and love from an aging flower child. 💕🌻

Using the Dutch standards of Not Just Bikes, the part starting around 4:30 is more terrible than Canada's stroads. I don't mean to compare this city to a first world country with the best bike infrastructure in the world, but as a Cantonese, I hope Guangzhou does not learn from car-centric North America but from Netherlands in terms of bicycle- and pedestrian-friendly urban planning.

Great video, interesting to see Covid Lockdown from a non-native perspective. It’s weird for me that some Chinese would discriminate against African people, historically we’ve only been invaded by Europeans in the 1800s, Japanese in the 1900s (not saying discriminate against these people is right), but never by Africans, and it was African countries that helped China got a seat in UN back in 1971. My best guess is they are uneducated/ill-informed, or just bad people. The cost of quarantine hotel is generally depended on how you end up there. Covid patients and close contacts won’t be charged, but people made their own choice flying to China are required to pay for the quarantine fees. One of my friends came back from Japan and stayed in a quarantine hotel in Guangzhou for about 300 yuan per night, while another friend came from the US, landed in Beijing, got transported to Tianjin for quarantine, at about 600/night, he suspects the local government made some shady deal with the quarantine hotel, like rebate. Recently there’s an incident on the Chinese internet about a dog got “harmless treatment” while its owner away for quarantine, the owner’s CCTV showed the disinfect personnel broke in and hit the dog with a stick then bagged it. This really infuriates people on Weibo and the local government got bashed really hard. Public opinion is that the government officials really worry about losing their job/power due to Covid spread and with a lack of regulations there’s no clear line to stop them from doing certain things. Want to add an irrelevant comment, to me, what happened in Xinjiang is somewhat similar to Covid lockdown in China, on a much serious scale, the camp is more like an anti-brainwash and skill-teaching for Uyghurs contracted with religious extremism. You can look up what the terrorists did in Xinjiang between 1990 and 2002, and 2014 Kunming attack & Urumqi attack. I can most certainly agree there’s no genocide and I have Uyghur friends in university. Maybe visit Xinjiang next time you are in China and see with your own eyes. Seeing videos with crowded people now makes me feel uncomfortable, hope the world can beat Covid in 2022 and no more Covid PTSD for me. Happy new year and stay safe!
