Hard to recruit with an 11-14 and the coach is a dead man walking. Napier has nobody to blame but himself

This level of recruiting isn't remotely acceptable. Adopting a second-rate/Mississippi St/let's-outevaluate-everyone mindset is a loser mentality. That should never be the recruiting standard at UF. NEVER. Now that being said, this is expected given the perception Napier is a dead man walking. Nap either shows recruits he can win this year, or we make a HBC change to prevent recruiting from spiraling further downward

I would love to hear/see that UF is trying to recruit "The Big Uglies" (both sides of the football) moreover than the backside of the line of scrimmage.

If we can't get blue chips, get it done in the portal like Fla State has made a living doing. We got some good players in the portal this year

This “win and they will come (maybe)” scenario is extremely risky due to this staff’s lousy 2 year record and incredibly difficult schedule. I find it interesting that scUM is not having the same recruiting issues even though Cristobal is in a very similar situation (UM has the 15th ranked class with 15 commitments, UF has the 66th ranked class with 8 commitments). Why is UM outperforming us by that large margin???

Kieth Niebuhr is a dishonest man. He talks about why Wiggins chose Florida and how it’s a huge victory over FSU in their own backyard…but fails to mention the most obvious reason Wiggins chose UF. Wiggins and his family are huge, lifelong Gator fans. All this other stuff Niebuhr’s babbling about is secondary to that obvious fact. That’s why Niebuhr’s dishonest. He’s blowing smoke up everybody’s ass trying to make it appear that UF’s doing a great recruiting job. That’s a false narrative. UF is doing VERY poorly. O bigger evidence of that lies a few miles away from Gainesville. In Jacksonville there are four highly sought recruits. Two have, like Wiggins, have shut down their recruitment, and are going to FSU. One is going to Miami and the other, WR Jaime French is NOT going to Florida. Another prospect in Newberry, NEWBERRY, doesn’t even include Florida in the obligatory hat assortment! So, no, UF is NOT doing well in recruiting this year. Recruiting is overrated anyway….it’s not recruiting that is the reason that Napier’s only win one rivalry game, Tennessee. If you don’t develop or coach well on game day, it doesn’t really matter who you sign. Right now, it looks like Napier can’t do ANY of these things well…is anyone surprised that he’s struggling getting prospects to want to play for him?

This has nothing to do with this video, but I thought I'd throw it out there. I just saw some video of the new kid, Urban Klavzar, that Todd Golden just picked up. I don't get that impressed with highlight videos much, but you should check him out when you get a chance. He has a very impressive offensive skill set from what I saw. Natural PG that can score and he seems to have an NBA comfort level in pick and rolls and is almost Jalen Brunson like the way he uses his body and gets defenders on his hip when he gets in the paint. Very comfortable going right or left. He seems to be a plus athlete(at least against the competition he was up against) that can really fly up and down the court. Not sure how he is on the other end of the floor because there wasn't any footage of him defending, but this is the conclusion I came up with after watching a 5 min video. Take it with a grain of salt but check him out and see if you feel the same way. Go Gators!!

We are really on wait and see from the rest of the kids . They want to see progress and wins I feel.

I hope he stays true to the gators til the end building the DLine slowly but surely wish it didnt take 2 years before we got the rite S&C coach to develop there strength to compete especially with how hard the dline coach pushes his position players going to b nice to see

The Gators need to check out my nephew, who's currently the #3 ranked Kicker in the state of Florida and the #39 ranked kicker in the Country. Here's some information about him from his last Kicking Camp/Showcase where he officially became a 4.5/5⭐️ recruit. He's entering into his Sr. year at Lennard High School in Ruskin, FL. Here's his review from 2024 KOHL'S Camp: Gibbons, Aiden FL -Gibbons had and excellent showing at the 2024 Kohl's Southern Spring Showcase. It was his best overall showing to date, and he impressed at the event. He scored 14 points in the field goal charting, and his kickoff score was 109.60. He showed improved command of his ball/foot contact and charted with confidence. He scored 91.41 points in the punt charting and flashed excellent potential as well during the drill work portion of camp. Gibbons had a good overall showing at the 2024 Kohl's Future Stars Invitational. He competed in all three disciplines and showed above average leg speed at camp. He scored 4 points in the field goal charting and connected with a big ball of 62 yards with 3.37 seconds of hang time. He produced a big ball of 42 yards with 4.00 seconds of hang time. His drill work was excellent at the event and focused on cleaner contact and more command of his "A" ball. GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!

So still struggling with OL and DL recruiting? Can't win without success in the trenches. Quality transfer portal linemen are few and far between. It's the difference between CFP teams and everyone else. Just look at the draft

Thanks for the Saturday recruiting content. It appears that the current OL talent acquisition strategy is to sign lower rated HS prospect who fit a specific physical profile for long term development and to use the portal for plug and play starters. Is that what you see???
