Have you done a Honda SB700SC Engine rebuild...? there is not too much info out there...would be great to find a manual to rebuild this engine.

Damn no part 3 sucks. This is the only video I was able to find and all I want to know is how to get those pistons back into the engine

Dude I know its been a few years, but thank you so much for these videos! I really wanted to give rebuilding an engine a shot and watching these two strip down videos gave me the confidence to give it a go. Went to a bike yard and what do you know there was a CB750 DOHC sitting there, so i picked it up for $250 and went to work! So far I have compeleted everything in video one. Engine was in rough shape, but its been a blast so far. Your tip with the shims to get the heads and clynders off was a game changer! The bottom half looks more intimidating for sure, but with the state of the engine I gotta give it a go. Gathering the tools now. Hope you get another shop soon, would love to see more! Cheers!

Great DIY vid, I can split my cases in about 30 seconds now. However I've probably done 30 now so lots of practice.

What’s the magic trick for the lower end he’s on in video? How do you get done in 30 seconds?

Good day, I enjoyed your video's, step one and two removing the top end and then the bottom end. As this was done a while back already, did you ever do a third video to show the rebuild?? Please advise, I'm about to undertake step 1, remove engine. I need to replace a broken crankcase. Your video's are most helpful, thanks eh! (Jason in Canada).

I know it has been years since you made these. But it actually helps so much. I am recording a series of my CB750F. Rebuilding engine and bike fully myself. These videos of yours are very lovely to have some additional support on top of the workshop manual as I am a total newbie going at it myself :)

Thanks for the nice message! I really miss working on the bike, making the videos, and interacting with followers. I really hope I'll have a workshop later this year / next year and be able to restart. In the meantime, best of luck with your bike.

@@naturalsIV Alright I didn't know you didn't have a shop any longer. That scks.. I was wondering why you stopped making video's today and now I have my answer. Well I hope you can get going again soon. I love all the content you put out and there is a lot of potential in your channel. As you grow you can monetize it as well and from there make some additional income perhaps to rent a shop in the future ;). Working on bikes is a lot of fun. I'm a complete newbie though but have technical background. I'm looking forward to your videos in the future. Have a great day!

Me too man. I am purchasing a 1981 CB 750 F and going alone like you and wondering how to go about everything. The motor was sprayed black which Im not a fan of and would like to return it to aluminum glory. Lol. Anyway, best of luck to you and know you have brothers going through the same as you!

Hi I had a lot of trouble with the shift from gear 1 to 2 with many missed shifts. Then I found that the motorcycle racer in New Zealand Vince and hyde had a new specially shaped shifting star to fix this problem. . I've put it in but am awaiting the results of personal testing that promises to fix this problem...

Awesome set of videos. I’ve been using these to help me rebuild my engine. One question though. That o-ring that you mention when you split the case. Where is it? Do you mean the o-ring that is on the noz chain feed/oil chain feed?

Hi. Great video. I've been running an STC-1000 to control my fermentations for years and it works really well. However, I recently bought a second unit to run the heater in my reef aquarium, there's a strange problem with it... I have the unit wired into just the heater, so no cooling. I wired it just as per your video (I couldn't remember how to do it). The temperature probe is the same as yours and can be immersed into water. I placed the probe into the rear of the tank. The temperature calibration is actually bang on to be fair. Here's the problem: The unit sits nicely at it's set temperature of 26 degrees. Then every ten minutes or so, the units flips to 25.3 degrees and engages the heater for about a second. The unit then flips back to 26 degrees and turns the heater off for about a second. This flips about 5 times until it stops for another ten minutes, then the cycles reoccurs. F2 is set to 0.5 degrees. If I set F2 to 1 degree, the unit drops to 25.3 and stays there without engaging the heater. Then flips back to 26. It's almost as if 25.9, 25.8.... 25.4 don't exist and it drops straight to 25.3. The probe isn't moving around and so it cannot be such wild swings in water temperature. It's far too regular for that too. Faulty probe? Well why would the probe work and then flip-out periodically? I would have thought if it was a faulty probe it just wouldn't work at all. Faulty wiring: I doubt it very much. Would not having a cooling unit wired in cause this? I can't see why it should. Faulty unit: Maybe. Any thoughts you have would be greatly appreciated!

The resettable cooling delay is to the fridge compressor starting. This is to allow the high side pressure to drop so that the compressor motor starts unloaded. The compressor also has a heat detecting delay which is clumsy and too slow. That is to protect the fridge from momentary mains failures like being accidentally turned off then on again quickly.
