The engine on this CB750 is looking a little dated. In this video I try to give it a good clean up - removing 36 years of oil, grease and aluminium oxide.

I know it has been years since you made these. But it actually helps so much. I am recording a series of my CB750F. Rebuilding engine and bike fully myself. These videos of yours are very lovely to have some additional support on top of the workshop manual as I am a total newbie going at it myself :)

Thanks for the nice message! I really miss working on the bike, making the videos, and interacting with followers. I really hope I'll have a workshop later this year / next year and be able to restart. In the meantime, best of luck with your bike.

@@naturalsIV Alright I didn't know you didn't have a shop any longer. That scks.. I was wondering why you stopped making video's today and now I have my answer. Well I hope you can get going again soon. I love all the content you put out and there is a lot of potential in your channel. As you grow you can monetize it as well and from there make some additional income perhaps to rent a shop in the future ;). Working on bikes is a lot of fun. I'm a complete newbie though but have technical background. I'm looking forward to your videos in the future. Have a great day!

Me too man. I am purchasing a 1981 CB 750 F and going alone like you and wondering how to go about everything. The motor was sprayed black which Im not a fan of and would like to return it to aluminum glory. Lol. Anyway, best of luck to you and know you have brothers going through the same as you!

Hey, bud! I have an ‘81 (a few) I bought from a farmer who’d left them in a field for quite a few years. For my (fairly significant) oxidization I used the dremel with steel brushes followed by brass brushes and then 1500 paper, metal polish. Was able to bring out a factory shine (which I’m sure will soon corrode also). If you’re not satisfied with the look of steel-brushed, the brass genuinely cuts down the effort needed to begin polishing with paper

Hi, great job. I've just done the same to a cx500 engine. Love the unperfect colour of the cast. thanks for the video. Gus

Hi! What are you using to polish the cover? Is that the scotchbrite or sandpaper?

Great job. I’m in the same boat with my ‘80 CB750c. Question: what kind of black paint did you use around the HONDA on the case cover?

The Letterbox Workshop Are you serious?! Lol. Looks great. I shan’t be following your lead on that one tho! Cheers!

What did you use to fill the background of that honda logo? (The black stuff 3:39)

Use Testors model paint and clean away with brake fluid on cotton swab. Stands up to the heat.
