@@FishingInsideTheLines i would say from the sd card. I was testing out the recording option and apparently used up the whole memory lol i was recording from my phone and it mustve saved automatically on the garmin device. Im not too sure. However, it doesnt show for livescope when you go to sonar setup and you cant see the recording and review it or delete it. But i can go to the other sonars like side and down. The options are there.

@@thomasmark9813 That is a new one for me. I have recorded many videos but have not noticed they affected my SD memory. I would then take out SD card and view it on a laptop to see if it’s there but be careful about deleting items from the card so you don’t delete any waypoints. You may be able to find out more information from Garmin’s website. Hope that helps.

So you don’t have to figure out the offset? It basically figures out the offset for you after you get the motor head as straight as possible?
@FishingInsideTheLines

Correct, after calibrating heading sensor the next step is the offset. Straight as possible, hit the offset button and it tells you offset complete and what degree offset is at.

@FishingInsideTheLines

Hi Andy! You can use either motor because what’s being calibrated is the compass inside of the heading sensor and not in the trolling motor head but the trolling motor does need to be facing forward in the next step of setting the sensor offset.

Good video, the one recommendation that I would make, when loading....after the boat is latched, pull up the ramp only far enough to walk back and secure your wench strap and safety chain without getting your feet wet. That way you are not relying on he Drotto exclusively and will never have your boat de-couple from the Drotto and end up sliding back on the trailer inadvertently.

Yep, had success both snapping the line, and pulling away straight (if sacrificing the jig is acceptable). One other that works if you have a nice long rod like that and you are close to where it is snagged, reel yourself right up to near the snag and push the pole down below it, thus pulling the hook back the direction it snagged.

I think slip bobbers were the best invention ever! Use them always to slay bluegill. Not much luck for me on crappie. What does work for me is going back to a clip on bobber, because I don't use a weight. I put a crappie minnow on a #8 gold true turn hook and let them drop naturally. Slam! It 's tougher to cast with 6' of line whipping around and only the bobber for weight, but it works.

Can you still load without "power loading" using original strap to draw boat towards Drotto locking mechanism, and does it lock freely? Just wondering in case a boat ramp has No Power Loading signs.
@FishingInsideTheLines
@FishingInsideTheLines 4 ай бұрын
I think that would depend on three things. 1. The size of your boat and 2. What type of trailer you have. 3. How deep you back the trailer in the water. A boat my size would be difficult to wench up with a carpeted bunk trailer like I have. If I had a roller trailer I don’t think it would be an issue. As far as locking freely goes I haven’t had any issues. I’m glad I bought it. Hope this helps!
