I wonder, since testing them out is a necessity, what ca we do to all of the other ones we're not gonna use? is there a sterilization central where they could be reused by someone else safely?

That's impossible, bc you might have a suction happening that you have to brake by either inserting a finger there or if the hup has built in method, otherwise you're about to rip your uterus out with the cup. It's random this person doesn't know that.

I bought the merula xl cause discs don't work for me and I had constant leeks at my last business trip. My first cup was the lunette 2 and it was perfect but don't fit anymore so I feel it. Now I'm wearing the merula one size and after a little struggle at the beginning I don't feel anything. Tomorrow I will try the xl cause it could be the heaviest day and I'm out the whole day.

Hmm, its the third cycle I use the disc after using a cup for many years without any problems. I really dont get it - I guess that I insert it right and the cup is behind this bone. Also a guess that the cervix is inside - although I cant really feel it aftet inserting the disc (it is very high), but still the disc is leaking. Even after 2 hours. I dont get it. In the videos it always looks like they really pop up, mine does not really open. Its very soft and generally difficult to insert. What could be the problem? Greetings from germany 😊

Lol I have been using cups and discs for nearly 20 years and blood absolutely will splash and be messy, and I've never once been able to remove a cup that way. The suction was so intense I had to bend the cup to break the seal and it would always spill unless I was on day 6-7. I use a disc now but it's still messy cause heavy flow is awful. And there's no magic 10 seconds between the toilet and sink for people like me lol.

Your not supposed to touch a the actual body of the tampon before inserting it because it can contaminate it leading to possible infection. My advice is twisting it open, pulling the bottom off first while holding the top in the plastic then unraveling the string, hold it by the string and pull the top off and hold the string with your pointer finger on the bottom and insert

I have been using menstrual cups since 2011. I have been actually storing my cups in hydrogen peroxide, in the shower. I have two cups I currently use: fleurcup (lavender) and meluna mini (teal). I keep them in a gum container (the kind that has a lid that's supposed to be for the cup holder in your car). I always keep in the small cup and use the larger one for my period. They are continually being cleaned. Every once in a while, I change out the peroxide and clean the container. I wouldn't hesitate to do this with any brand cup, and it always removes the stains.

My compact sterilizer instructions said: put the cup in, add 80°C water, cover with the lid and let it sit for 3 minutes...like an instant noodle soup hahaha

What's the point of giving a VISUAL demonstration with terrible camera work and that absolutely RIDICULOUS clumsy fringe skirt blocking our view of exactly how you are holding the menstrual disc as you are inserting it. Why on earth would you make a demo of a woman's vagina with a flapper skirt around it??? You don't have to cover up the fake plastic vagina, I'm pretty sure we can handle it. ALSO, you didn't show us how to REMOVE it, which is the scariest part, softdiscs don't have pull tabs so how do we go in to dislodge it and remove it in a way that avoids spilling blood all over the place.

Just use menstrual cups. Just put in, put your finger and let it air out so the cup will open. Make sure it's round.

I need advice on how to take the disposable ones out with less mess. Do you remove and dump? Flex has the ability to self empty so should I do that and then remove?? It’s my first cycle trying it and I hate getting it all over my hands

Do people still need to wear pantiliners while wearing a disc? I’m just trying one for the first time and towards the end of my period so not very heavy but still seem to get spotting on my pantiliner. I’m unsure if this is the auto dump or it’s leaking from poor fitting

Try the flex products they are much safer to use . And easy removal as I don’t like tampons they are far worse to use as they give cancer in the process all those chemicals being jammed up there no thank you . 😢

IMO: Pads: feels like wearing a diaper, feels horrible, often doesn’t work well enough Tampons: Makes me worried about TSS (since I really can’t change it as often as needed) feels like shoving a sponge up there, uncomfortable, leaks Cups: difficult to get in and take out, sometimes leaks, overall more comfortable and reliable than pads or tampons Disks: best option, comfortable, easy to use, no leaks

I had awful cramps and nausea with tampons. I thought that this was just part of my cycle. Nope it was tampons! After I started using a cup my cramps and nausea STOPPED!
