The late great Curtis Hanson (L. A. Confidential) directed it. No wonder it was good.

Sadly this is the last theatrical box-office hit of Rebecca de Mornay. She deserves better projects. I'm a big fan.

This entire movie is based on the premise that a news channel would publicly identify a sexual assault victim (and the perpetrator before being found guilty in a trial); it just wouldn't happen. Considering what followed, the Claire character could sue them for millions...

One of the greatest actresses of all time imho. I was 11 when The Three Musketeers came out and hadn’t seen Cradle yet, I was fascinated by her tragic Milady de Winter. Still am.

Why don't they make movies like this anymore? I am a sucker for psychological thrillers/neo-noir but sadly can't name a single movie from recent times which fits the genre so aptly. It's safe to say directors these days don't know how to craft a mind-boggling edge-on-the-seat nail biting thrillers like the ones in the 90s!

I saw this movie on borrowed VHS when I was in middle school and I loved it. It came to my mind in these days and couldn't recall the title. I googled "thriller movie gynecologist greenhouse" and voilà, Wikipedia page came out 👌 love to see that many other people liked it.

The music that starts at 1:08 is part of the soundtrack of a Norwegian film: "The Telegraphist" (Telegrafisten). The OST is by Randall Meyers and the song is "Love Theme - Rolandsen and Elisa".

This was a very intense portrayal of a real life problem in the world today. Demornay is a Great actress. She played her character so well, that I was ready to strangle her myself. I don't believe the Academy gave enough credit to the movie in general, but clearly not enough to her work in particular.

As a child i thought this was the scariest, creepiest movie I've ever watched. I'm 40 and some scenes still make me grimace. Also, early 90s trailers were the best, and that song in the beginning was also used in Sleeping With The Enemy.
