The existence of the Big Four is a tragedy for other players, especially a very talented player like Kei Nishikori. He played really well in this match. Unfortunately, as long as Nadal is in good shape, there is an unbridgeable gap for Kei.

federer es mejor jugador que nadal en pista rapida aunque en este partido jugò mejor nadal. tambien es mejor djokovic que nadal en pista rapida, pero aun asi nadal puede estar entre los 6 mejores jugadores de todos los tiempos en pista rapida.

Roddick game is so average. His forehead is like amateur tennis players. He doesn’t have variety of tennis skills besides serve. Roddick wouldn’t chase the balls, and he is very lazy player

as an absolute tennis noob, why was Roddick feeding Nadal "easy" balls to he middle of his baseline while Nadal was angling his consistently? Also, he rushed to the net several times and was getting exposed over and over, just why?

Roddick really screwed up when he got rid of Brad Gilbert as coach. After he lost that powerful forehand he was never the same.

Verdasco was a strange player. Here he won Nadal for the third time in their last four matches. Including different surfaces. Not too long before he was swearing in Spanish in challenger tournaments.

Not for nothing but Roddicks volley technique had almost always been bad.He just couldnt make it be efficient / outside the Wimby surface when it was still fast/.

Roddick was never good at the net. all his volleys were lame shots that bounced right in front of his opponent. When Federer volleys at the net, they are going to either side, or either corner.

The only thing i like watching Roddick play is his serve, and nothing else. Dude has no footwork, no strategy and strokes. At 3:53 he had so much time to run forward to take the ball early but bad footwork renders him a missed opportunity, but still the ball was short and he can still hit from way inside the baseline. However, of all the shots he can make, from a drop shot to a powerful flat shot to try for a winner, dude does a slow topspin forehand with a terrible angle that opens himself up to a passing shot.

Roddick was almost retired at that point (1 year prior to his official retirement actually), injuries at the beginning of the year didn't allow him to move anymore or to have a descent baseline, so yeah that serve and volley strategy was basically a desperate move. You can check 2010 season and in the two matches they had (which both were very closed) there were good baseline rallies
