I didn’t think of it this way lol but I think it was more he saw that this individuals with Alzheimer’s deteriorate in nursing homes so he wanted to help give a space where they could continue to be part of a community. But definitely people with bad intentions could use it to their advantage too

I think it would be a really amazing idea but I live in the states and people have too much of an opinion here I would genuinely be afraid that an elderly person would get hit because somebody gets pissed off.

You’re so right i didn’t even think of that. It could be possible that someone comes into the restaurant without knowing what the restaurant is about and then get unnecessarily angry at the server with dementia ☹️

I mean it's something that I genuinely think about because my little sister who's only like a year younger than me has down syndrome and honestly I really love them my mom managed to find a program that allowed her to be able to work and there are amazing people to help with that. But here in the states there is not enough people who give a shit to be able to do that. In some areas you might find a decent you know place to be able to do that in some other places. Ha

Oh wow so then something like this restaurant could directly help your sister have more “normalcy” in every day life. 🥹 I think I have seen a few restaurants in the US (but they were owned by the parents) that are staffed with teens with Down’s syndrome. Would be amazing if we could have more restaurants like this in the US!!
