Hey Jim! Thank you very much for the publicity of my channel. Always with your kind words. I do appreciate. It is nice to see more of the place you live in. It looks peaceful and beautiful. I'd like to come visit someday. We could go for a street photography session together. It would be awesome! I like the way you captured the serenity of your neighborhood, even with just an iPhone. It's crazy how this little tool we carry around can actually create such nice images. Your framing is simple and interesting at the same time, which are two important qualities in photography. You managed to capture little details, such as the bowl of red fruits smashed on the pavement which creates an interesting balance with the rest of the picture that looks immaculate. It's intriguing and when a photograph manages to raise questions into the viewer's mind it's a win! Your music choice matches the atmosphere of the video. Good job! What are those beautiful and pretty big flowers all around the houses? Hydrangeas? They look nice and I like flowers. There is definitely something to do with water sprinklers. The mist they create, the like reflection in it, the little drops... (7:40) And the sunlight and wide sky, wow! I can't help but notice the geometrical architecture of the buildings. I see triangles, squares, rectangles and contrasts between the lit sides and those in the shadow. You can try abstract photography with these. The vegetation and the straight path also create interesting contrasts. Nature vs artificial. Also, if you don't mind me putting my grain of salt, toward the end of the video (9:30?) there are those two colored long chairs in front of the blanc garage door. Their shadow with their colors reflects on the surface creating a stylish and glamorous scene. Do you think you can try capturing it with your Canon R8 someday when the light is as beautiful as this time? It's a little photo assignment I propose you if you are interested😉 Overall, it's a relaxing video sparkled with nice photographs that captured the quietness of the place beautifully. I enjoyed it! I must try it myself! Neighborhood street photography. Again, thank you for the shoot out Brother, Best wishes from Japan.

Oh Guillaume, I’m truly honored and thrilled having your gracious, detail review and attention on every element in my video…your opinion and keen observations are so very valuable to me…thank you! You have an open invitation to visit and join me anytime…for me it would be a masterclass from a master himself 🙏. Wow, you have such a keen eye to catch my missed opportunity on those lawn chairs! I got so fixated on the miniature “Easter Island Head” replica facing the morning Sun and underground utility marking lawn flags I completely missed seeing those colorful lawn chairs and their shadows against the garage door until after watching my video when I noticed the missed opportunity shooting those! Man, you do have a scrutinizing perception of so many details…you really are at another level my good man! 🫡…very impressive!! I plan to try a “city walk” soon in nearby Grand Rapids and actually start learning to use my R8 as I know it’s a matter of just using it and learning. Grand Rapids is 2nd largest city in Michigan (Detroit is obviously #1 largest) so I hope to have more “traditional street photography” style video/photos. Again, I can’t thank you enough for your valuable review and feedback and I can accept, handle and frankly need all your criticisms knowing that’s how I can improve. Please forgive me for always pushing “money-making” ideas but I do think you could offer your critical reviews like this on aspiring videographers/photographers here on KZfaq even in a “per-video” pricing model and make a bit of a side-hustle. I know I feel I just got “free advice” from a real master and I truly value your opinion…thank you so much for taking your precious time from your loaded schedule of work and tasks in your own life! ❤️❤️❤️✌️

I meant to answer on the flowers…yes, I think those are hydrangeas and some homes have giant specimens in their landscaping…I love those, too! My wife is very upset that her own flowers in our borders and landscaping beds have been devoured by a gang of rabbits that seem to call our backyard their home. I think our fenced yard provides them some protection from any predatory foxes in our area but now my wife has even hinted to me it may be time to get lethal with them😂. We won’t of course but it shows how far they’ve pushed my wife as her Summer-long efforts planting and caring for her flowers and plants ending as simply meal salads for the rabbits is starting to sway her away from humane treatment of them 🤣. I will need to install some tight-slatted fencing around her beds is what I’ve now promised her in hopes of providing some protection from these otherwise cute gangs of furry rascals living around our home…clearly they’ve caught on my little “patrol-dog” is no longer with us so I think they’re living their best lives and clearly thriving and propagating…I shouldn’t laugh but I can’t help but find it amusing seeing my otherwise animal-loving wife turn against these rabbits with such vengeance 🐇🐰☠️💀🤣

@@WorksIRL oh nooooo! KZfaq just erased my second answer to you.... 😔 I have to write it all over again. I'm going to make it shorter this time. I do understand Barbara's feeling as we had an ant invasions inside the house this summer. Since we operate the café they can smell the dishcloths we bring back for washing and get attracted by the food odor I guess. Sachiyo wanted to pick them up one by one to put them back outside, which is the most humane way, but I conduct my afternoon lessons here and I don't have time to catch all these tiny insects. So once my Love went away to her own school I did as usual, used the vacuum cleaner to take care of the floor regardless of the hundred little workers just doing what they are meant for 😣 I know it's very bad... Sachiyo is particularly sensitive to the wellbeing of the microscopic world since I introduced her the movie title "Seven Years in Tibet" from the French filmmaker Jean-Jacques Annaud with Brad Pitt in the main role. There is a scene where buddhist monks remove all the insects by hand on the place they decided to build the temple. She was very impressed with it, which was one of my goal showing her the movie that I love myself, but I didn't calculate all the consequences it would have on our life later on 😝 May Mother Nature understand and forgive us (you, Barbara and me) for our choice in this dilemma. On another note, Do you notice a difference of treatment between big and small channel? It seems that KZfaq isn't treating everyone equally. First, I turned on the notification bell to "all" on your channel, but nevertheless I don't get notified when you upload a new video. Second, the video stops loading every few mites as I am watching it, hindering the viewing experience. When in parallel I play a bigger channel video without any lagging. Is it just me or do you come across the same issues? Love from Japan!

I've had mine for about 10 years and it's been very useful. I think that "flow meter" assembly is its weakest link so keep an eye on any leaks developing around it. Mine, I could see the "housing" separating at the plastic seams and I think I may have used VERY hot water just before it sprang a leak so you might be okay sticking with just "warm" water, too...I suspect the very hot water from my hot water tank being turned up may have contributed to the plastic housing separating...just my theory. @@Schmitty42 sadly, until you turn 25, insurance on any “sports/muscle” car is going to be problematic. I also like the Camaros and their V6 models are still cranking out numbers that used to be generated by V8s years ago so again, no slouches in power in their own right. Again, your age will fight you and make you pay top dollar. You might consider something entirely different like Subaru Crosstrek model with the 2.5L 4-cylinder boxer engine. The 2.0L won’t win any drags nor even the 2.5L but I think they’re athletic looking, practical for youthful outdoor activities, get decent mileage, usually reasonably priced and can offer some fun DIY lifts and skid plate “rally car” type mods to soup it up a it. I hope you find something you like but remember cars aren’t worth over extending your finances to get as the “newness” and excitement often fades before the long, expensive monthly payments. Please keep us posted and good luck!

I really gotta inch it around so it actually throws snow. Already has a new carb a few years ago. I was amused how this galvanized tub was sold right next to "fire rings" from the same manufacturer using what looks and described/labeled as the exact same "galvanized metal". Granted, a "ring" may not necessarily get as red-hot as a tub containing the burn but they weren't much larger in diameter as this tub so they'd have to get nearly as hot in my opinion. I agree with you on it's painful having to throw away so many quart bottles given most recycling operations refuse to accept used motor oil plastic bottles. AMSOIL does sell a "1-gallon" jug which I've been using lately but get this...it costs MORE per ounce than the single quart bottles...that really bugs me! It's like American Heinz catchup where unlike most products where you pay less per unit buying the larger container, the smaller container is actually cheaper per ounce...go figure! Regarding the proper disposal of the used oil, I just answered a fellow that basically took me to task on not delivering some epic idea on my "shorts" video titled "What DIYer does with used motor oil". He expected some epic idea and was utterly disappointed and lambasted me for showing taking my used motor oil to a local auto parts retailer to properly dispose and recycle my used motor oil...classic "you just can't please everybody" 😆Thanks for watching this video and sharing your thoughts on the AMSOIL packaging...again, I agree with you! 👍

@@WorksIRL ask them why it costs more to sell one gallon? Say to them People are not happy about having small bottles, why are they not willing to help the environment!! as well? see what they say. it might change their minds and offer it slightly at a discounted price even 50 cents or a dollar.

@@jedi-mic I will send AMSOIL a "comment to the editor" type remark expressing what you're rightfully asking. AMSOIL has a "Preferred Customer" magazine they publish quarterly and I'll see if I can get an answer from them that way. Unfortunately, my cynical "business mind" likely knows the answer in that there's probably a profit/loss sheet that shows they either make more from the quart bottles per unit even though it may cost more in materials but when they take into account "inventory rotation" and other factors...but, given what seems like a more environmental focus some corporations are at least trying to show, maybe they'll provide some change. Thanks again for sharing your opinion. 👍

@@WorksIRL yes they probably make more money from quarter bottles but that's not the point is it??. isn't it about ethics we're trying to eliminate plastics as much as possible not add more, I would go to the extent that they should put them in metal tins again metal tins are still available for oil. and the government offer a rebate if you use non-plastic containers because of the extra weight, I'll put it to Karmela Harris. Not so much with metal tins I don't think there's much in it but with glass and Tupperware what should come back more,A rebate tax should be offered to companies or bi gradable plastics. Yeah let me know what they say if it gets in that is ;) if we all bang the Drum hard enough they might listen! Tell them to do a survey, would you buy our oil over the competition if we went more green with using less plastic or alternatively using tins containers.

You only supposed to put your oil filter on hand tight
@WorksIRL
@WorksIRL Ай бұрын
You're right, hand-tight is usually sufficient. I got into habit of giving my oil filters a bit more of a tighten after witnessing some "vibrating loose" and leaking on off-road vehicles, especially those that enter cold Winter months after having had their filters installed hand-tight in warmer months. Hand-tight usually does the trick, though. Thanks again for watching and sharing your insights!

I had a Grand National in 1987 that had 240 hp and that thing moved and this has 300 hp and the GNX had 300 hp. I think people are just spoiled with the horsepowers that these manufacturers can make. Usable street horsepower of 300 hp is a good number. Nice review.👍
@WorksIRL

You make a wonderful observation and conclusion of how high "the bar" has been set for horsepower given the explosion in factory model's so far beyond what used to be "powerful" decades ago 🤣. I really do think the V6 Challenger is more than enough for everyday driving knowing it's likely King of the Hill at any given time vs. the vehicles around it at any given time on the road. Not to mention it's not "out-of-control" type power but actual usable power as you point out. That's so cool you had one of the classic Buick's so many would love to have now! Funny how EV crossovers and peanuts will now blow the doors off even the biggest displacement ICE muscle cars without even trying but we still feel that excitement hearing an "engine" winding up with a throaty exhaust. I'm sort of glad we grew up at least having known and heard that as"the norm" for muscle. Thanks for watching and sharing your nice comment 👍

Any idea why my belts squeel when I engage the mower? I got this from my mother-in-law after my father-in-law passed in 2018 and it's always done it. 2019, I put on new blades and belts and it still does it.

It might be the mower deck spindle(s). They have grease zerks on top into which I try squeezing a few pumps of grease routinely. However, I've heard the grease may or may not even reach the bearings inside. The spindles on our X300 apparently are notoriously loud and often need replacing or rebuilding. Mine has one that's very loud but not "squealing"...more of a "rumble". I usually attribute squealing to a slipping belt on a pulley or sheave. Too much or too little tension from the belt spring (likely too little tension if the spring doesn't keep the belt taut enough). Grease on a belt surfaces of sheave or pulley might also cause the belt to slip and squeal. The other possibility is the PTO bearing driving the mower deck belt directly underneath the engine. It has a clutch mechanism and might be worn out. I've not changed mine, yet, but I suspect it could also "squeal". Good luck and keep us posted what you find out! Thanks for watching!

I thought Trans Ams and Firebirds were still made, but in a facility separate from the main GM plant, sort of like Dodge did with the Ram.

Sadly, GM eliminated the Pontiac brand back during the financial crisis in 2008 when General Motors became "Government Motors" when they ran themselves out of business and had to take a U.S. tax-payer bail-out to restructure. Sadly, Firebird last rolled off the assembly line in 2002 so over two decades without the "Screaming Chicken" TransAm grumbling out of the factory. I like the Chevy Camaro but I always liked the front-ends on Firebirds and TransAms better.

That sounds like a good plan! I was going to use a similar connection to the battery jumper cables from the external battery but the jumper cable's rather large clamps were so unwieldy it seemed like it may be a bit tricky to not accidentally short positive to ground or have the camps pull off as I was removing/installing the old/new battery. Hi thankyou for the vídeo.. i have osmo action 4 should i use a protectores water case because if the salty water ? Wish you well
@WorksIRL
@WorksIRL Ай бұрын
I think that's a great idea! Check your user manual but if I remember correctly your Osmo Action4 is water-proof as-is down to 18 meters and 60 meters if you use the protective case. Even though it's already water-proof up to diving down 18 meters under water, I think having that protective case is a good idea in salty ocean water to save having that salt water residue on rubber door gaskets, etc. At minimum, I'm sure your user manual will suggest rinsing it with clean, fresh water after every underwater use. Even used in fresh water I think rinsing with fresh, clean water is prudent as you see in my video even "fresh water" can be a bit "dirty", too. Thanks for watching and sharing your nice feedback! 👍
